Some combat related/money issues

Can anyone tell me:

Best thing to camp for charms not called waterfiends? Using melee, of course.

Gp/exp at Monkey Skellies at Ape Atoll meleeing?

Exp/hour in melee skills without piety on slayer?

Also, I'd love to have either Overloads (92 herb) or Turmoil at 85 melees. It'd make me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I'm not going to get them overnight, but a few things:

a) With my stats (70 herb, 73 sum, 73 prayer, about 82 melees, 83 range, 77 mage), What's the best way of making money? Looking at about 500k-1m an hour. Only willing to raise them up to about 84 each (so bossing or w/e doesn't put me over the top)

issue b: I've got 42m cash and about 18m in other stuff. Should I dump this now so the training gets easier later on?

c) In your personal opinion, should I go for overloads or turmoil first? Why? Which gives you more of a warm and fuzzy feeling inside?

d) Assuming I went for Herby first and got Super Antifires, would Green dragons in chaos tunnels with super/ext sets and whip/rune defender be viable at my stats?

e) Assuming I went for prayer first, would Soul Split let me camp anything different that the current prayers wouldn't?

:D

Drops: Black Mask.

Clue rewards: Sara Plate, 2 Robins, Some other random stuff.

Then the GP/Exp goes up considerably..

How much are charms valued at each, approximatly?

WHO. CARES.

Just do it. People were bursting/barraging rock lobsters long before battle robes became useful. You are never going to get satisfying answers.

Can I ask you a question? How far have you come since you began posting topics? Gotten any levels? Has your cashpile gotten any larger? Have you made any progress?

Im going to post this again just for the sense it makes.

STOP worrying about getting the most out of your training unless your names zarfot or something. This is a game and as far as it appears here you just post a thread every two days asking prayer or potions. Just pick something and go for it, fancy soul split? Go for it, or at least try... Want some pretty good potions? Fine make an effort and start going for them.

Solo GWD'er

When you go to mcdonalds do you have this much trouble choosing between Chicken Mcnuggets or a Double Cheeseburger? Prayer is generally more useful from my experience but what ever makes you happy is what I'd do.

When I go to McDonalds I order a Quarter Pounder ;O

Ignore the which is more useful, i'm gonna go with Herblore. I'd really like some help about gp/exp at monkey skellies (i'm gonna swap between camping them and slayer) and how I can go about making money + charms, as I have no idea whatsoever on them.

Black Demons are pretty good for charms, so are Skeletal Wyverns. Best way of making money is probably either collecting herbs from Chaos Druids or bones from Green Dragons. If you luck on a great drop from higher dragons of course you'll male a lot more, but you might kill 1,000 with no good drops. Although if you've got 42m already I don't know what you're asking for.

I don't go to McDonald's.

Best drop so far: Dragon Chainbody from a Dust Devil.

Meh my Mcdonalds analogy didn't work oh well. Since you're going with herblore you should be quite close to atleast 84-85. I'd farm herbs and mix in Mtk for afew weeks while you kill dragons or train a gathering skill for some extra gp so you don't totally kill your bank.

Yeah, if I brought out now I could stew to extreme pure sets but it would

kill my bank. :|

Someone reccomended td's not too long ago. Is this a good idea? Also, anyone got any idea on training combat at ape atoll? :(

Here's an AoW guide to combat training in Ape Atoll, can't help with the TD's since I've never done them but at your levels I can guarantee it'd be pretty difficult.

Yeah Tormented Demons are tedious. I'd recommend solo maging daggonth king rex with your stats. It's actually decent profit for such an easy boss.

Heard heaps about solo maging Rex, but doubt I can do it because I'm not 80 Mage + pc mace/95 Mage.

Any good noob guides for it?

The noob version is just using Slay Dart instead of CoG or Fire Surge. I'm sure tip.it has a pretty decent guide to them.

@Lowc15 you can't i just tried.

Meh, all it is is a beefed up version of Brainymidgets dk's guide on tip.it, I used to use slayer darts back in the day at rex so the whole I'm a noob and can't do anything because my stats are subpar won't work.

Exactly, and i'd be getting my mage level to 80 for that ;D

Side question: Would it be worth making Mage potions until like 87, then making them all into ext mages for overall cheap herblore exp?

Make cheapest pot to extremes, then extremes, then stew and make ovl

Yes it will, because slayer dart sucks ass.

Are there better ways to do it? Yes. Do you have the levels to utilize those better ways? No.

Guess what? Maging Rex with slayer dart is still a decent way to make money. People did it that way for YEARS. Going to TDs with a steel titan and chaotic maul/longsword and overloads is the best way to do TDs. I don't have a steel titan, chaotic weapon, OR overloads, and I've gotten two claw drops.

Wow, how did I do it without the best possible gear and supplies? IT MUST BE MAGIC.

To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

Decent, but not a good way.

It's like saying "Wow, People buried bones back in the day, but now we can use a guilded alter, but hey, let's not do that, let's bury bones because people still managed to do that back in the day".

I'm better off investing time and money into magic levels for a decent way, if solo rex is a decent way.

That's a horrible comparison. I'm talking less kills per hour and you're talking breaking your wrist and spending god-knows-how-much more time on a mind-numbingly boring pursuit.

It's the same sort of thing though.

There's no reason why I couldn't get at least 80 mage if Solo Maging rex is better then green dragons. There's no use limiting myself to a stupid, outdated method when better ones are affordable and available.

I've been getting 1.6m per hour soli maging Rex with cog I can't imagine slayer dart being bad enough to make it worse then greens...

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).
