Hey there. What's the droprate for mangled or chewed bones ? How many would I have to kill to get one of these. You see I need them to create a barbarian pyre ship, its the only thing left to do for my Fremennik achievement diaries. I had a REAAALLY hard time killing one of these bastards, talk about getting a rare drop. Any help ?

A sure way of getting Mangled Bones is by killing Confused Barbarians, as they always drop them. You do not need to kill any mith dragons to obtain them.

Beware that pyring them spawns a level 166 or so aggressive spirit.

 

The drop rate of chewed bones from miths BTW is fairly low. Not rare, but not common either.

I've actually found that chewed bones aren't too rare of a drop. Just doing miths for slayer tasks I get about 1 in 20, but I might be unusually lucky.

Regardless, as others have said, go with mangled bones instead ;P

Also worth noting is that you don't have to kill the angry spirit. Just run. No good drops either, so it's a waste of time and food/prayer.
