snick5
Ok So I have never been a combat guy. I think of myself as a jack of all trades kind of player. But with my stats I should be able to beat Nomad and after 4 failed attempts I come here looking for help. Any tips other than the quest guide would be GREATLY appreciated. OsteBonden
Well I had much better stats than you and had to try 9 times. (2 times I died of lag) But The one really good tips is USE A KYATT.I can't point that out enought.when you get him down to where he fills up half he's life you can just use you kyatt scrolls on him and he should die quick. I just used scolls and filled up my life and it worked out great. without the kyatt I really wasen't even close to kill him
angel13
I beat him using only range with ruby bolts and hiding behind the pillars. I used one of the guides on this forum for help. I know that it feels bad losing again and again but it took me at least 7 attempts before i actually beat him. Tbh, I've seen people with higher levels than you or I still not able to beat him, but don't lose hope. Firemaking cape 12/22/08 & Range cape 10/07/09Quest cape 12/10/09 & Agility cape 8/13/
Hamtaro
Ok So I have never been a combat guy. I think of myself as a jack of all trades kind of player. But with my stats I should be able to beat Nomad and after 4 failed attempts I come here looking for help. Any tips other than the quest guide would be GREATLY appreciated. You should be using sara brews/super restores (and some regular restores) for the fight, with a War Tortoise to help you out.To start the fight, super set, piety, BGS spec, and switch to rune crossbow and ruby bolts (e) (as well as eagle eye + the highest def prayer). When he drops the mines, run around them and behind a pillar. After his attack hits the pillar you are behind, continue to range him. When he freezes you, temporarily switch to diamond bolts (e), and brew over max health. When he clones himself, just wait it out behind a pillar with your prayer off. This is a good time to empty your inventory of empty vials, and withdraw more brews/restores (he doesn't teleport and say coward when he has clones out). Once he starts going berserk, switch to diamond bolts (e) again and use the Eagle Eye prayer. For gear, I highly recommend full Void range, but if that is too inconvenient, this should be the rest. Helmet: (Range void helm >) Armadyl Helmet > Archer Helm > Helm of NeitiznotTorso: (void top >) Armadyl Chest Plate > Black d'hide bodyLegs: (void bottom >) Armadyl Legs > Black d'hide chapsGloves: (void gloves >) Mercenary's gloves > Barrows gloves > next highest RFD glovesBoots: Ranger boots > snakeskin > dragon bootsAmulet: Amulet of Ranging > Fury > GloryWeapon: Rune Crossbow. BGS spec to lower his defense at the beginning, and maybe later on if you wish too.Ammo: Ruby bolts (e) for the majority of the fight. Diamond bolts (e) while you're frozen and when Nomad goes berserk.Shield: Unholy Book > DFS > Book of Balance > Holy BookRing: Archer's Ring (i) > Archer's Ring > onyx ring (i) > dragonstone ring (i) > Explorer's Ring 3Cape: Ava's Accumulator > Ava's Attractor > Skill cape (t) > Fire cape > Skill cape > Obby cape I'm not certain about the brew to restore ratio, however. I tried so many combinations, that I don't even remember. When you're at the bank, set eagle eye and the highest defense prayer to quick prayers, summon war tort, super set, bank the super set, have BGS equipped, have ruby bolts (e) equipped (as well as the rest of your set up), and make your inventory as follows: Rune Crossbow, shield (of your choice from above), diamond bolts (e), 37 brews/restores. If you die, you spawn near your grave at Soul Wars. Have a friend or two wait outside, just in case, to bless your grave. Wait for another person to reply about the brew:restore ratio. Sir_Squab
I killed him in Karils/Dragonhide (can't remember) ranged him till berserker mode, used z spear for berserker mode. Took an invent of brews/super restores at the 3 brews 1 restore ration. When I put stuff in my brews, I put in a bit more brews then super restores. I used blood bolts to range, not that the effect kicked in much. When frozen, I re-organized my inventory with my turtle. DO NOT RANGE HIM WHEN FROZEN IF USING BLOOD BOLTS. I didn't bother with boosting potions since, well, I was using saradomn brews. Also, take a combat familiar for when your tort is empty. Kyatt is recommended, or just the high non-mino one you have? Since minos are too damned slow. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.[spoiler=The rest of my sig.
