sohkmj1
I'm not sure about the G500 (I hate names with numbers), but I have the Razer Lachesis, and as far as I know, it's a less ergonomical version of the Death Adder with more DPI, which you probably won't need. To adjust DPI (I presume you want to change your sensitivity in the game with a click), there should be 2 buttons slightly below the mouse wheel for higher end mice (Probably applies to Logitech mice as well, but I don't own a gaming mice made by them). Basically, it reduces/removes the chance of repetitive strain injury. In relation to mice, it would be finding a mouse that fits your hand correctly without needing to stretch across it. For me Deathadder and alike are too flat, i'm using a Saitek GM3200 which is pretty "fat" lol.
