Will boosting your stats effect assists?

So say I have a friend who has 93 farming. I have a 95 farming effigy. If he was to eat a garden pie and boost his farming to 96, and then accept my assist request, would that work for my effigy?

No.

I thought you could do that? I'm pretty sure I've used spicy stews to get 95 herblore for my effigies and assist others. I may be wrong and only potted to use mine and it may not work for assist but I'm pretty sure I did atleast once.

Slayer; it's just what I do.
Thanks Hugger 88 for the awesome siggy!

I did it just a few days ago and I think it worked but the best way to figure this out is for him and his friend just to try, garden pies aren't to exspensive.

Only problem is that I have to wait until he's online haha.

But thanks to everyone else that replied, I'll try this soon when I'm able to.
