Ranging amunitions for Black Demons

Ranged - 90

Gear - Full Slayer Helm, Ranging Amulet, Black D'hide Top and Chaps, Snakeskin Boots, Gloves (barrow) and Archer's ring.

ATM I am using Rune CBow + Unholy Book + broad-tipped bolts ... so I wonder if I should switch to Magic Shortbow + Rune arrows or Rune Knives + Unholy Book

The Knives have the most DPS but the least attack and vice versa the CBow has the most atk but the least DPS.

So what should I use broad bolts, r arrows or r knives ?

I'd recommend continue using your crossbow, but make once crucial adjustment.

Use a cannon.

As long as you are in a safespot, the cannon will treat the area as multicombat, thus attacking ALL black demons in range. This can exponential increase the kills you get in an alloted amount of time. Yes, it'll cost a lot more. Since you are getting drops and xp so much faster, though, it more than pays for itself.

And for future reference, don't use knives. Use darts. They're cheaper and if you're worried about the loss of power, upgrade the metal. For example, adamant darts are the same power as mithril knives, but are cheaper. See if dragon darts are cheaper than rune knives. They should be about the same strength.

Dragon darts are less than half the price of rune knives, but they're about 7 attack less and 4 strength less. In that case I'd still get them over the rune knives, but I'd personally just use rune darts since they're about 4x cheaper than dragon darts.

A cannon would only work if he was killing them under Taverly, Chaos Tunnels can't have cannons.

What you are using is pretty much what I am. For the price, broad bolts can't be beat.

Well if he's ranging, there's no reason to be in the Chaos Tunnels. Combat familiars are far less effective if you safespot, and that takes away the only advantage the CTS has. CTS black demons are also always occupied by meleers.
