When killing Zenevivia (boss) is it easy when using curse prayer received after The Temple of Senntisten Quest, using sap mage lvl 54 and deflect mage lvl 65 combined. use melee and as she gets on platform range her so she switches to protect from range , then you can go back to meleeing her..

But what's the point of saping magic when you are already protected from it?

also, unless you are using a Halberd or spear, melee doesn't work when she's on a platform.

Do spears even work? I was under the impression that spears were only 1-space weapons, unlike halberds. Do they act like a 2-space weapon in this quest or am I completely wrong about their range? :blink:

 

I realize it says a spear works in the quest guide, but I still thought spears did not reach 2 spaces.

I found that melee DID work, but you only got 1 attack each "charge" toward the pillar.

Yes melee does work in that sense. My only question is, do spears act the same as halberds, in the sense that you can continuously attack her while on the plinth without getting knocked back? Unfortunately, I already did the quest, so I cannot check.

Meleeing her is really easy. Just sit yourself between her and the other statue. She hits you heaps and you've got flames going everywhere, but it's easy.

If you wear good melee armor and use a dragon spear. I wore d skirt d chain d boots helm of neitz combat gloves amulet of glory . My inventory had 1 pray pot 1 str pot 1 def pot.I took the rest of invy in rocktails( I only used 6) i used protect from magic. I attacked her on the ground and when she got on the plinth I used the special attack to knock her off. She doesn't seem to take damage while she is up there and the wise old mans mage attacks were lame. I f you can knock her off and get her on the ground you will beat her very, very ,very easily. If she;s on the ground I believe range or melee will work I just happened to only use the dragon spear. I do know when i tried range several times by itself , it failed miserably and I wasted a lot of time, money and trouble. My range is 92 and my diamond specs gave her 0 damage while she was on the plinth.
