whatisup618
At 71 prayer, is it better for me to keep my prayer book set to curses rather then regular prayers?Does the reflection of damage justify the loss of Piety? Obtaurian
Unless you're 92+ prayer, normal prayers are better. To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
Aiel
Unless you're 92+ prayer, normal prayers are better.Id say 95+ or if you haven't unlocked piety. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). Zephy
Below 92 prayer, the curses book is pretty situational. It's still nice sometimes to leech def off a boss and such, but even that requires in the 80s. Certainly don't go losing boost prayers just for deflects. Disclaimer: The above is probably inaccurate. Wisky_is_Goo
If you aren't using piety, say for a task or something because you're a cheapskate, then arent the deflect prayers strictly better?
pulli23
If you aren't using piety, say for a task or something because you're a cheapskate, then arent the deflect prayers strictly better?Well you should stil use the 10% strength pray.. The only task -and I don't even piety often- where I would consider using curses at that level (I myself am 72 prayer so I know what it is like) is mithril dragons.. First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. Zephy
If you aren't using piety, say for a task or something because you're a cheapskate, then arent the deflect prayers strictly better?I believe they're the same drain rate, and the slight bit of damage you bounce back is quite negligible. Dexek
Reflection of damage does not justify the loss of piety, provided you do use piety while on your regular prayer book. Stick to regular until your prayer level is that of which that can use turmoil (provided you currently use piety), or within niche situations which the curse book could be of use, such as particular bosses.
