Ranging waterfiends

What's your equipment and [cabbage]?

i'll probably use rune crossbow + karils, extreme range potions, and +15% range prayer, unless holy ranger and the new dung range prayer turn out to be worthwhile

Er, isn't that not coming out till like, September? And you have no idea what costs are?

Anyways, big factor is the prayer isn't coming out till the fall last I checked (unless I'm completely crazy) so, do you want to wait till the fall to kill them? lol

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.
[spoiler=The rest of my sig. You know you wanna see it.]

my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

Why waterfiends? Cannon + ranged at black demons, wyverns, wallisalkis, scabarites is surely better than waterfiends.

rumour is that effigy drop rates are governed by charm drop rates :P

waterfiends *could* be worthwhile, depending on their ranged def.

I'm considering other options too right now, I just want some info on this one.

I've gotten a few of Strykewyrms, and none from waterfiends so far.

Either my luck is really weird, or GF to the charm theory.

As for your question, I've only ever witnessed people ranging them, never tried it personally, but they seemed to hit around 30-40% of their hits. I've never seen a high level do it though, so they might have had low range.

I've had a few effigies from waterfiends. They seem to have an alright drop rate. As far as ranging them, it's REALLY slow compared to melee, but you'll hit often enough for it to be an option. I think you'd be better off doing something else, though. I suppose you could bring a steel titan to CT and try to range there, but I have a feeling it wouldn't turn out well.

If a monster dropped more charms, then it would drop more effigies, right?

So if you can get more charms per hour at scarabites than waterfiends (non CTS), wouldn't that make scarabites better for effigies?

Tzhaars drop no charms but drop effigies?

Obsidian charms. Not really a main one, but technically, yes.

Nah they're pretty safe imo. You can get back to the grave in time and they don't hit THAT high.

You could always cannon black demons anyway.
