December 3, 200520 yr If you don't understand the title, it's french for ' too commercial '. If i check the charts now and then, and i listen to the top 5 it irritates me how few the songs are that are songs, because most of them are just some commercial stuff with a stupid beat and a text that goes about love, because it isn't hard to write about it. Also it irritates me how few people/bands write their songs by themselves, because many just go away with the fame of the songwriters. Post your opinion about it! ~Gamerr
December 3, 200520 yr Actually all music that sells is commercial, but Im assuming that you mean music that is created only to sell and not for the songwriters personal satisfaction. And it also annoys me that 90% of the songs are about love and the remaining 10% is about skateboards. Lovesongs still are good though, but hearing it 24/7 is like putting vaseline on a sandwhich, its just too much. The fact that some artist goes away with the songwriters fame doesnt disturb me much since many of the artists has wonderful and unique voices for instance Mariah Carey, but may not be such good songwriters. I think its good that songwriters are there to bring out the artists so we can enjoy their talents.
December 4, 200520 yr I honestly don't give a rip what an artist feels about their music. All that matters is that I like it. Gamertag: King Arizona
December 4, 200520 yr maybe you shouldnt worry about wether or not it is commercialized, and make up your own mind about what you like. if everyone in the world liked it, thats no reason not to like it. listen to it, and make up your own dam mind. like ive said a hundred times before (well, maybe just a few :P ), fashionable non conformity is worse than conformity.
December 8, 200520 yr Commercialism is rife within music nowadays. I used to listen to a lot of trance 4-5 years back, but the commercial scene is such a shambles its just embarrasing to listen to. kerrang basically slaughter punk/metal, i kinda gave up when i saw them play The Fight - Can't Be Bothered. ugh, they shouldnt have either. basically, underground > commercial, and itll always be that way.
December 8, 200520 yr . basically, underground > commercial, and itll always be that way. Not necessarily, the artist Morrisey became IMO better after he sold out.
