What is up with Astrals?

The price has plummetted, just after me reaching 82rcing and everyone telling me to craft doubte astrals??? I now have 22K astrals that I dont want to sell below 180 but the price has plumeted. Are astrals still the best to craft at 82? or should I switch to nature with graahk? OR just keep making astrals and dont sell until the price goes back into the 180's?

I'd stick to deaths as the money is going to be comparable if not higher and you should be getting more xp. Don't quote me on that though.

deaths are more exp, but astrals are faster because you dont have to charge ammies. Deaths, the problem with them is everyone is doing dailies, driving their prices down, a few weeks ago they were like 440, now they are like 380 or less for deaths.

Glory charging time becomes almost negligible in the grand scheme of things when you have 20+ of them. It takes maybe 1-2 minutes to charge glories, but 20+ glories will give you 80+ runs, which is more than an hour. 1-2 minutes out of an hour is not much time in my opinion.

 

You could reasonably charge up to 29 at one time (not sure if glories in a BoB also get charged simultaneously), but may be less if you do the full banking method. However, the benefits of a full bank aren't quite as apparent in abyss crafting than it is in ZMI crafting as you're only crafting one rune anyway.

I craft Astrals too, and yes they go up and down faster than a see-saw.

Everything that goes up must come down, and that applies with Astrals as well. What I do is to wait for pess to hit a very low price, then buy them up and craft Astrals, which I hold till they hit a price I want.

Off topic: Personally, I would craft astrals anyway just because I hate using the abyss.
