sawmill: is it worth it???

Recommended Posts

I'm currently about 50k away from 82 woodcutting, and I was wondering if it's worth it to do sawmill tasks. I do have a crystal saw.

Is it better or worse, speed-wise, than ivy?

Oh yeah...and my goal is to get to 99. :)

I always here that Ivy is the fastest, and the Ivy ruined the skill, never anything about the sawmill... so I assume Ivy is faster, and I know it's less work.

Definitely Ivy. You can AFK it, which is perfect if you'd like to watch television or browse forums while grinding exp.

Sawmill is actually faster if you have a crystal saw, but ivy is much better due to the AFKability. I would personally get an adze and cut teaks, though, which is the best overall exp.

Sawmill is definitely faster.

It's not that intensive, either. Sawmill gets a bad rap because anything is going to seem like it takes a lot of attention compared to ivy.

Sawmill is infinitely faster than Ivy.

People just shy away from Sawmill training because you can't AFK it, or they simply haven't ever heard of what it is.

I got 99 Woodcutting by doing nothing but Sawmill training + 2 Evil Trees daily.
