SpikeStr1ke
Well after taking a long break from going to td's. I have decided to try round 3 against them. My first trip was a bust only making 2 kills before having to bank. My 2nd trip ever i went with Smapla and he showed me how to lure and what to use. Now im lookin for round 3 against them. Im wondering if my setup and inventory is ok for them. Setup & Invo: [spoiler=Tormented Demon setup and inventory] So here are my main questions: 1. Should i replace my black d'hide legs/top with v skirt and karil's top? 2. Is Neitiznot helm enough or should i change it for V helm? 3. Is sharks enough for food or should i use rocktail? 4. Is 1 pure set and a range potion enough or should i bring two? *note* bunyip pouch will be a Fire titan pouch and i will also have a fire titan summoned. Unhesitating
I've never gone, but don't you need Prayer potions?

Sir_Squab
Where the HELL are your prayer potions!?!? You can't last there on food alone. I don't know how much food you'll actually need (been ages since I used a titan) but without prayer pots, you'd be lucky to get 2 kills. Personally I think your best bet is a small amount of brews combined with a large amount of prayer potions, and use your titan for the majority of healing. With a titan, I'd say a 2:1 ratio of prayer pots to food. You could always try taking a turtle down there, then summon a fire titan once the tortoise is empty. Don't know what a good ratio of prayer pots to food is with fire titan, but you dooming yourself without prayer pots. Also, take Nomads cape if you have it. That thing's awesome. EDIT: A few people beat me to prayer potions. I still think you want more prayer potions and less food. Also, why only one ranging potion but 2 super attacks and super strengths? Your better off getting rid of food then prayer potions. As for Karils, take it if you feel like it - it's better defence, more risky to use, it degrades...and at TD's, you shouldn't need that much defence because if all goes well, prayer will block most attacks. For now until i get a little better ill be replacing one of my pure sets with 2 prayer potions. At the moment my main problem is switching prayers and weapon's. I think i just need some more practice at that, I dont have the SW cape and dont plan on getting it anytime soon as i've already lost to him too many times. I will probably switch my Def cape(t) to Ardoughne cape 3 for the extra prayer.
Sir_Squab
Well maybe your strategy is good for now while you get the hang of switching weapons and prayers (which is fairly difficult at first) but once you get better, you should want a lot more prayer pots then food. But for just starting out, do whatever works. Also, if your just starting out, don't use Karils. Too risky for a beginner imo. (Not trying to sound like an eliststi here >.>) Squab unleashes Megiddo! xpx
If you are going to use food, don't use monks, they are better left at peace. Rocktails however... I have no idea why you'd have 2 pure sets in your inventoy, 2 doses of each should be more than enough with the other stuff you have with you. Brew for defence would be very helpful. TD's are not pushovers, and as you aren't maxed/low ranged/prayer/magic level, will be more than a match for the first few times you are there- expect to be crushed. Learning to prayer switch fast will be the single hardest thing to learn, and then trying to keep up with the right attack style while also having to keep yourself alive(as there is no way to avoid damage) will have to be learned also. The new luring is also a major mess. First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. March, 2014.First to 4664 Port Score on 2. March, 2015. xpx
I'm not saying you can't do it, but you'd likely be better off killing blue dragons for money with the current stats. When you reach extremes/unicorn, the story will be much different. The one thing you have going for you is that it's fun and you wouldn't lose much if you were to die. First to 99 Farming on 27. Mole, KBD, Hybriding DK's (didnt go do well) and solo maging rex. and finally 2 td trips (one good and one horrible)
Mdeoxys
If you know what to do you'll be fine. When I started hunting tds (at lvl 100 cmb) I could get 6-8 kill a trip with only a tort full of food and some prayer pots (and super set obv.).As stated earlier, you might wanna get a better prayer boost since you will be praying all the time.Tip.it has a pretty accurate guide on what gear to use, which can be found here: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=tormented_demons.htmgl :) Proud (retired) Tip.it Times Editor! Im not saying its the easiest thing in the world, but I'm no where near being maxed, I don't have extremes or a unicorn, and I was using terrible gear (for awhile) and I do just fine there. Sure it takes me a lot longer to kill a demon than a lot of others there. Sure its pretty easy to crash me. But I still make money and still have fun. I understand that your not saying its impossible for him, but I still think you're giving the Tormented Demons a little too much credit.
