And for (us) younger members, what do you people remember from him? For me, i remember him from the Beatles (duh), he was a very good musician. Lennon was a bit of a weirdo IMHO, he never really adapted himself to the band. But maybe that has got to do with Yoko Ono as well. I think he met Yoko Ono in the late sixties, when the Beatles were already breaking up. I could be completely wrong of course.
