Dungeoneering Help

Recommended Posts

Ok. I have 40 dungeoneering, mainly from penguins and tog. Mainly because I never understood the skill. I still don't.

What I need from you guys is to fully explain prestige, the point, and how it works / how to utilize it. (tbh, I don't even know what the [bleep] it is)

The point of a dungeon. Do you just have to reach the end? Why do people spend so much time making stuff / messing around?

How to be getting the most experience possible per dungeon.

Will I be able to find any teams? I feel like I have such a late start on it...

For prestige, essentially you want to do all of the floors you can once. Yes, this means f1 as well. Even you look at what floors you can acess, you'll see an arrow in some of them. This means they are done. When you do all of the ones you can do, hit reset. Rinse and repeat. For highest EXP, you should do smalls 1-25, meds 25-30, and larges onward. If you have a good team and high Dung, you should rush more and spend more times on the higher floors, but this does not apply to you yet.

Dungeoneering isn't a skill.

To get Max Prestige= You want to do all the possible floors.

Max Prestige= Offers highest possible Exp

Basically

you want to do all the floors you can,without repeating

repeating afloor gives you half the exp

*you don't have to go in order

you can check on you rring , what floors you can do

by opening your party inferfance->floors->

you will see a long bar

there should be a check mark for the floors you done

once there is a check mark on every floor

that means you done that every floor

meaning you reset

To know what your prestige is..

once you reset

you will get

Current Progress

Previous

Your prestige will be Previous Progress

1-25 Small Rush 5:1 [first number is number in party: 2nd number means dunegeon made for this many people]

26-30 Solo Mediums/5:5 Larges

-----edit

once you hit 69 dg

do 1-25 small rush 5:1

26-27 mediums

28-35 Larges 5:5

Honestly, your exp rates will blow at low levels

if you want to team you are better off asking friends, but at times you want to dg w117 ..isanother option

I would recommend you

doing

The point of A dung, is to kill the boss and end it.

People who make stuff slows down dungeons

so if your previous progress was 6

your prestige is 6

----

edit

get prom 2hander

Tier 1 zerker atleast

shadow silk hood if possible, if not get prom plate

arcynoms you should know

GGS=Group gate stone

GT=GRoup teleport

Gd=Guardian Door

GK=Got KEy

DENK=DEAD END No key

DE=dEAD END

I fail epicly at explaining prestige and what-not, but I think I can answer your other questions. Note that I kinda suck at dungeoneering, so take the opinions of a higher level dungeoneer over mine.

question 2:The point is to kill the boss and move on. However, in higher level dungeons(meds, larges) bosses will be very high levels, and running in with little to no armor can mean a swift death, even with alot of food. Thats why people 'skill' and make armor/pots/etc. Also, people try to kill every monster(or at least many) because of the 'level modifier', which gives a percentage of extra xp depending on how many monsters are left at the end. The same applies for unlocking every room, even when you find the boss.

question 3:

floors 1-12, you want to do in complexity 1. It gives little xp, but the floors in general give little xp, and its better to get them over with.

Floors 13-19, I suggest complexity 6 small dungeons. Rush them(do not kill monsters besides ones in guardian door rooms), and do not stop to skill. The boss will be a pretty low level when solo'ing, so a full set of armor is not needed.

Floors 20-29, I would do mediums. either solo them, or duo+ them. A good medium will only take around 20~30 minutes, and get 10k+ xp per.

Floors 30+, Do larges with as many people as you can.

for general xp: Do larges for the top 3-4 floors you can do at maximum. This way, you can get higher dungeoneering that way, and get a very good prestige xp. Also, when doing floors, dont kill every monster you see. Attempt to unlock every door possible, but dont go clearing dead ends of monsters. That out of the way level 115 mage isnt gonna do you any good, besides waste prayer points.

question 4:teams are always around, your not the only one starting late. Just look on the forums.

It means that:

for the floors 1-25, you should do small dungeons. This can be solo'd, duo'd, whatever. For floors 25-30, you should do medium dungeons. Those can be solo'd, duo'd, wahtever, as well. For floors 30+, you should do larges. These have to be 3 manned at the least(3 man minimum to choose a large) but its better to it with 5 people.

It means if you have high dungeoneering, doing that "floor plan" is the best xp. Which I disagree with, personally I think c1 small 5:1 rushes all the way to 30/33 is better, but meh.

Those numbers change significantly if you are lower dungeoneering.

There's just so much to explain in terms of tactics, tricks, roles, etc. In the Beginning Guides forum, there are 2 very good guides for Dungeoneering. You should take a look.

One of the biggest questions is what to bind, here's what's generally recommended and considered the best:

First Bind: Your best 2H (if you use Berserker Class Ring, which is highly recommended), otherwise, best spear (p++). If you have 93 dungeoneering and can get a primal batttleaxe, that is better.

Ammo Bind: Used to be Sagittarian Arrows, that is no longer viable. I recommend either: a) your best arrows, b) law runes, if you do teams most of the time (recommended) so you can quickly cast Group Gatestone Teleport whenever, c) blood runes, for surge spells, although in better teams, they are usually not needed. You could also bind natures so you can alch stuff with a fire staff.

Second Bind: Shadow Silk Hood, if you do not have it, get it. Prior to that point, bind your best platebody or leatherbody (but NOT chainbody). Imo, leatherbody is better if you like to solo more, platebody if you do more teams, although both are highly viable options. It really doesn't matter, although most people go with the platebody.

Third Bind: Blood Necklace, but only if you have the Shadow Silk Hood. Otherwise, best platebody/leatherbody, or best platelegs/leatherchaps if you have that binded already. I've also seen quite a few players bind useful items like the Hexhunter Bow or Flameburst Defender (assuming they use Primal Baxe)

How to be getting the most experience possible per dungeon.

This would require you to do 5-man large floors on every floor. However, you don't want to do that, you want the highest possible xp per hour, which involves rushing through the lower floors very fast.

Will I be able to find any teams? I feel like I have such a late start on it...

The best teams require 93+ dungeoneering and a shadow silk hood. W117 (the unofficial dungeoneering world) requires 70ish dungeoneering and 120+ combat (it varies, but you'll be refused more before that). W117 has a reputation for being hellishly slow and annoying. Soloing is not recommended; instead get some friends to play with.

The best clan for dg reqiures 93+ but doesn't reqiure A SHADOW SILK HOOD

w117 DOESNT REQIURE ANY DG LEVEL,THE HIGHER combat the better

try world 53
