YouTube vids showing up weird

Featured Replies

Occasionally (like 1/10) I'll get a vid that looks like this:

Why does this happen, and how can I prevent it from happening again?

I use Google Chrome with just AdBlock. I use an ASUS laptop with 4GB of RAM.

Thanks.

Do you have the latest flash version?

It's because you have Adblock set to block ads within YT. Occasionally, it'll mess up.

Yep, I've noticed that as well. Embedding the video on a site or forum post makes it visible usually.

More often then not the video just won't load at all for me though.

What? I have ABP too and it has never happened to me, although I'm using it with Firefox which blocks the ad and doesn't just hide it like in Chrome.

Yeah it never does anything like that when I use firefox, only in chrome.

Disabled AdBlock and tried to view the same video. No change.

Interesting - that always cured it for me. My apologies.
