TheKoolKandy
Today I got 99 summoning and can now use steel titans so I want to try out some tds with it. My question would be if anyone has a set up or guide for TDs with overloads, turmoil and steel titans. I also would like to know what is the best place to kill TDs as in what safe spot. The spawn I use makes for slow kills per hour but I don't know how to lure or where to stand for other spots. Also I have a CLS. Thanks for the help. :) Slayer; it's just what I do.Thanks Hugger 88 for the awesome siggy!Click show if you want to see achievements.Achievments: Maxed/Comp'd 7th of August 2012. 120 Dungeoneering sometime early december 2011. 99 Slayer achieved October 22nd, 2010. 99 Prayer achieved September 99 18th 2010. jettrider
What I like to do is: 2 full overloads and 1 1-dose (to free up space)6-7 brewRest prayer pots You gotta be good at soul split flashing and prayer swapping. Also, north rock is by far the best place to use a Steel Titan as you can easily lure 3 demons to the spot and safespot them (and up to 5 can reach that spot). It takes a lot of practice to get the lures down and to be able to do them quickly, so I suggest bringing a unicorn your first few trips to practice. 2496 Completionist
Smapla
transitioning to tding with a titan can be difficult, as previous to the titan your familiar was, in some way or another, a source of food. how experienced are you at tds? woox has a (mini) guide which is very good. it can be found i however, am not able to survive the full trip (40 minutes) with just five brews, and instead take seven. this means i can only bring nine prayer potions, which i completely use up if i last the whole forty minutes. i'm experimenting with taking the falador shield (4) because it is in theory a more efficient source of prayer points per inventory spots. for your first few trips, you should probably take up to ten brews to maximise the time you'll be able to be there practicing the new methods. best place to kill: the spot woox uses is what i use, and unless you can handle the south eastern hell hole, it's the only viable option if you plow through TDs like you should. you can kill three different spawns from that spot fairly effectively. i guess you've only been killing one spawn before now? killing two or more spawns requires that you be attentive and waiting for other tds to wander close to you, so you can lure them. this is very important for two reasons: you want them close so that when your td dies, you can start immediately on the next; and if you don't lure them, they could wander into an area where it is hard to lure them to a convenient spot, making them a liability and endangering yourself. it is possible to have three tds in a triangle formation in that spot such that two are attacking you, which eats through brews very rapidly. basically, you should lure tds when appropriate, as soon as possible, so that they will get stuck behind your current td. technique: it's very important that you figure out where the titan can stand to attack. under certain circumstances, it can attack with melee instead of ranged, which is the opposite of good. pay attention to where woox stands to call his titan, this is the most commonly used spot. edit: in regard to the above post, a note on soulsplit. i do flash soulsplit when they are using their magic attack (i'm less willing to do so if they are using their ranged attack) but as soon as they engage with melee, i turn soul split on and leave it on, until i am at full health. they will then continue to attack with melee and occasionally fire off a magic attack which i protect from. when my health is full i turn off prayer and only have turmoil on. if i lose health i resume soul splitting. if their health is low enough that soulsplitting won't yield significant health to me, i protect from melee (and hopefully kill them before they go to range or magic)
TheKoolKandy
Thanks alot for the good answers. Before this I have been only killing one spawn but I have pretty good at prayer switching and I think I'm not bad at flashing soul split. I'll give TDs a try tomorrow in this new spot and using a titan. If I have any other questions I'll just post them here. If anyone has some tips or tricks not mentioned feel free to post because all help is appreciated. :) Slayer; it's just what I do.Thanks Hugger 88 for the awesome siggy!Click show if you want to see achievements.Achievments: Maxed/Comp'd 7th of August 2012. 120 Dungeoneering sometime early december 2011. 99 Slayer achieved October 22nd, 2010. 99 Prayer achieved September 99 18th 2010. essal
I'm pro at switching and I have 99 Summoning as well, but RuneScape has continuously let me down to the point of me not giving a sh*t about efficiency for now. Using a steel titan requires way more attention, anyways. I just go to a crowded world, stand at the easy-lure, single-spawning spot and kill them with a unicorn. Who cares?
