ealing
Ello my fellow Tip-iters, I have recently rejoined the game of runescape and am very interested in gaining some Dungeoneering levels.I plan to play solo (I know it is not the most efficient way but I like to play at my own pace) I have one simple question: I heard that when you stop dungeoneering it is best to reset you ring or something like that so that your prestige remains. Can someone explain to me how this exactly works So far i havent been able to find time to play more than 4 floor s at a time.. I am sure the answer is somewher to be found but what i have found so far was not entirely clear to me..Thnx in advance for any advice! LLL Kind Regards,Fare thee Well! Madouge
You know when you choose a floor, it shows you which floors you can do and some of them are ticked. If you complete the ticked floors you don't get the prestige bonus, so it's best to complete all the floors you can do which aren't ticked. Once all the floors are ticked (meaning you have completed them), you should reset and then repeat. Click the pic if you wanna see a Ranged Slayer blog. Racheya
How it works is this: Say you have unlocked 10 floors, and you don't have the xp to get to 11. You've finished them all. If you were to go back and repeat those floors, you'll get FAR less xp than you did on your first play through. So, you reset your ring. This keeps all the floors unlocked, but changes it so that you haven't played them. Your prestige number stays at the total number of floors you completed when you reset, for example 10. That number will increase the amount of xp you get when you play through the floors again. Now, you might have enough xp for 15 floors. Once you've played through them all and can't reach 16, you reset and continue :) I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. I rarely write in [My Blog]. I am an [Ex-Moderator]. BeNiceOk
Actually prestige doesn't have anything to do with the number of floors you do in one log-in period. Prestige and Reset are linked, so I like to think of them as "progress" and "reset progress". Basically if you do the same floor number 2x in a row, you no longer get the full XP for that floor. So for example if you did floors #1, #1, #2, #2 you would half the xp for doing floors 1 and 2 a second time. Doing the same floor 2x in a row = Bad. You should be doing floors #1,#2,#3,#4 in the scenario above. The reset button acts as a "clear progress" button so you can redo the floors and get the full XP (prestige) for it. IMPORTANT: The "prestige value" is the total number of floors you had checked off on your last reset. So you want to finish all of the floors available to you, before you reset, to get the best possible "prestige value". Never reset until you have completed all of your possible floors, to get the highest prestige (and highest XP). So in sum: 1) Do all the floors you can. Don't repeat any of them (until after you reset).2) The floors you complete will be checked off on your list3) Prestige = # of floors checked off on the last time you hit reset.4) NEVER EVER reset until you have completed all of your possible floors, for the maximum XP. Sy_Accursed
3rd explaination just to make sure you get it good: Check ring interface, see it says "current" and previous"These represent the current number of unique floors you've done (so if you do floor 1 twice it stays at 1; but do 1 & 2 and it'll be 2)And the number of unique floors before you're last reset. Prestige xp uses the highest of these two numbers; but you only receive it when playing a floor you haven't done. This is where reseting comes into play. Say you do floor 1 - 10, but dont have the level for floor 11.Redoing these floors would give 0 prestige xp.Resetting allows them to give prestige xp again. But you must never reset until you have done equal to or more floors than before, else you prestige drops Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
