December 12, 200520 yr My runescape character has gotten hacked several times on my dads computer, hes logged in taken my things, changed my pass AND recovery questions. Im in the process of buying atni spyware stuff, but the weird thing is that there is another charachter on the computer that hasnt been touched. Also i changed my pass and recovery questions on a friends computer and didnt log in from mine and he STILL got his pass and recovery changed!! Ill see if the anti spyware makes a difference, but it puzzles my how i could get hacked from a totaly different computer. If it were possible for a character to be infected jagex wouldnt know about it (if it is possible....) Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks
December 12, 200520 yr was it a good pass, or something someone else coud guess? if it was, try random characters (write them down of course) if it still gets hacked, it may have been your friend hacking you, or your friend aslo has a keylogger, also do you have a bank PIN?

There are plenty of free and great programs that you can download. :) Ad-Aware Spybot S+D Scan with those two, and see if they find anything. December 13, 200520 yr Dont buy anti spyware stuff. Do as weezcake said to clean it up. Once you have cleared out the crap then you can set some more secure passwords. No dictionary words. Random numbers. Use capitals lowercase, numbers and punctuation !^%$? Examples of good passwords... Khara1489 (Capital first letter, lowercase letters and numbers at end) S4r4d0m1n! (Capital first letter with vowels as numbers and an exclamation mark) Tip: Don't use the same password for everything, that way if someone manages to get your gmail password for example they cant clear you out of everything else youve signed up to. I scanned with spysweeper and found a bunch of cookies and a couple adware and spylog stuff,so i hope that does the trick =). Thanks for your help.

Well my pass got changed 10 or so times so if he managed to guess it that many times he should play wheel of fortune and get some real money instead of runescpae gp 8-). My friend also plays runescape and has about 2 mil worth of stuff that hasnt been touched so i doubt theres anything wrong with his computer. Ive thought about the possibility of him hacking me but ive seen his bank quite a few times and he hasnt ever gotten 500k out of nowhere. As for the bank PIN, yep i have one but havent been hacked since i got it to see if it works but hopefully i wont need to worry anyway having scanned with spysweeper. Thank u everyone for your posts!
