I am pretty sure that statement refers more as a caution to those players who down Zaros, Bandos, and Armadyl books rather than Zamorak, Guthix, or Saradomin ones, as the ladder 3 are easily replaced as mentioned above.

Unholy book, holy book and book of balance cost nothing to replace an they are replaced with all pages that were added to them.

 

I don't know about the other 3
