ExitReality
Can you boost the 81 Fishing task to catch a manta ray for the Ardy Elite Diary. Reason I'm asking is I like to keep my skills at multiples of 10, kind of OCD, and I really don't want to get 90 Fishing currently.
stormveritas
As long as you can catch it, it will count. I know you can barehand the sharks in Neitznot with Admiral Pies, so I'm fairly certain you can boost to Mantas. Give it a shot!
pgmr185
I honestly don't know, but my instinct is to say no. Since the fish are the reward from a minigame, I don't think that a boost would affect what you get. When would you boost anyway..... Before the start of the game? Constantly throughout the game? Before you collected the fish? I don't think that it'll work out.
Zaaps1
For diaries, you CAN boost, but you CANNOT assist. However, this does not apply to "base" requirements. For example, you can't boost to get into Sawmill Training, regardless whether it's for a diary or not. Similarly, just because your level happens to be over 81 fishing, doesn't mean you'll catch a manta from the minigame. Some stats operate on the numerator, others on the denominator, making it impossible to boost (ex. boosting attack to wield a new weapon, or prayer to use Turmoil). Unfortunately, I'm almost entirely certain the trawler is one of those that operates on the demonimator. ~It's Super Effective! jetricx
Actually, you can use boosts. Just to make sure to drink/eat the boost before checking the net.
gremmy
You can't. I've already tried - you need to catch in the fishing trawler, where potions doesn't work. Dragon drops: 82 (2 claws)Dagannoth kings drops: 73Barrows item count: 51GWD drops: 54 (5 hilts: 1x bandos, 3x saradomin, 1x zamorak)Whips: 4Sigils: 1x spectral (FFA), 1x arcane (FFA)
