Hi, im new here, have been playing for ages, but only like a weak ago saw my first fan-page :D

 

So i got some questions..

 

What does sally method for barrows mean ?

What are these AZ monsters?

How do i get those tokkens for onyx? (sold my fury for like 3 mil last time i dropped off)

Do I have to finish that holiday event to get QP cape? (rewards deoesn't seem to interest me)

Is Goldsmithing an option ? (for that 69 smith, and afterwards crafting.. )

Sally method - Using a black salamander on the Magic style, instead of using Slayer Dart. AZ's is a level 85 monster with 850lp, directly under an altar (The "Chaos Temple"). They are actually called Armoured Zombies.

 

Tokkuls are only obtainable through killing Tzhaar monsters, doing Fight Caves or Fight Pits. JaGex nerfed any obsidian item selling in exchange for them.

 

Not sure about the holiday event.

 

If you want to gain Smithing xp via superheating gold ores, try using a furnace too. You can superheat whilst you smith.

What does sally method for barrows mean ? Using a black salamander as a weapon to kill the brothers, there should be a guide on this in the guides section.

What are these AZ monsters? Armoured Zombies which are unlocked after the defender of varrock quest

How do i get those tokkens for onyx? (sold my fury for like 3 mil last time i dropped off) By killing Tzhaar creatures in the volcano on karamja you will obtain tokkul which can be traded for an anyx

Do I have to finish that holiday event to get QP cape? (rewards deoesn't seem to interest me) I don't think it's a quest, but I'm not sure. If it is a quest you will be able to do it later, so there's no hurry and it should be simple

Is Goldsmithing an option ? (for that 69 smith, and afterwards crafting.. )It's not halfbad for smithing combined with superheating, but I wouldn't recommend it for crafting. For craftin I'd try battlestaves or green d'hides bodies.

Sally is short for Salamander. These have 3 attack options tht do melee, range and mage damage respectively

AZ is short for Armoured Zombies. They are right by an altar, fairly weak and high hp so they make epic fast xp and have nice drops (noted/stackable) to boot

They are not tokens they are Tokkul, the currency iof the Thzaar. You get them by killing thzaar or doing fight caves/fight pits.

Holiday Events are NOT quests and do not give QP and as such do not related to quest cape.

Gold smelting is a popualr option for trianing smithing as it is one of the cheaper methods.

um.. so, ill sell my gold bars and craft something else..

 

Tzhaars, do they at least drop more than they used to?

and else, I hear these "junk tradeing", "street price", "crashing items" - wtf? Yeah, i havent been on for a while..

Crashing Item - When an merch clan manipulates an item its price in ge rises rapidly then crashes,

Street Price - items deemed vastly undervalued on ge gain a street price that is higher. (items such as phats and other rares)

Junk Trading - How the trade limit is subverted for street price trading.

 

If the item on ge is worth say 5mil and street value is 100mil

Seller puts up item and 95mil worth of junk. Junk being items that aren't valuable or that useful but you accumlate over time (eg useless logs, bad summon pouches etc) this means the trade is worth 100mil.

The buyer can then offer 100mil gold.

 

Sally is just an alternative really that allows more inventory space.

Gold crafting is fairly good xp, but green d-hides pwn it.

Thzaars do drop more but onyx alos costs 10 times more. Hence furys leap in price.

You obtain junk but playing.

 

Its all stuff you get from training skills that isnt sellable but isn't useful.

Alright, imagine this.

 

Jagex impliments a new update that means dragon knives always do 500 damage (I said imagine XD). Obviously, people will be willing to spend a lot more on them, but their price is still locked into whatever it was before the update by the GE price. The people with the knives won't want to sell because they know that the price is going up and the GE undervalues their item. So, to get round this, someone who has dragon knives says: "I'll sell my knives if you agree to buy my maple longbow (u) at the same time as I've had them for ages and they won't sell because nobody wants them". It this case, the knives are the undervalued item, the bows are junk which cannot normally be sold and the eventual price of the knives + the bows is the "Street Price".

 

There are of course items which have existed before the GE which are undervalued (the majority of discontinued rares).

 

1 thing to know, it's ALWAYS faster to make pure GP than to make junk. What I mean by this is, if you get an item from a TT that has a street price of 100m but a GE value of 50m, unless you already happen to have 50m in junk in your bank, it's not worth it to deliberately make it. In the time it takes to make the 50m junk, you could have sold the original item for 50m and made 70m in cash*.

 

*(numbers made up, but you get the point).

 

Finding out which items will rise is up to you I'm afraid. But reading all updates is a good start.
