Hi crew,

 

Currently the Elemental Workshop III quest has the length "medium", I think it should be "long".

Quest Length is one of the attributes Jagex defines:

They says its medium therefore tip.it list it as such.

Besides unless you are awful at puzzles it isn't a long quest. Perhaps ~2 hours for the worse puzzlers like ~30mins for the good ones.

Lol, tip.it's guide on that quest is very confusing, maybe someone should rewrite it? I didnt manage to do the quest.

Yup, we simply use the length as specified by Jagex. The quest really isn't that long, even if it might appear to be due to how painfully slow the manipulation of the main puzzle goes.

 

What's confusing about the guide exactly? As far as I can see, the guide tells you exactly what to do :unsure:

The guide was messed up for a while.

 

The crewbie who wrote it used my guide but decided to chop infinite moves out and therefore re-write an important section in the middle; but they made a few mistakes so it did nothing helpful. Since then it has been re-editting and uses my original guide which I can 100% confirm is perfect.

It can be a bit tricky to follow a guide on especially where u have to do the same 2 moves 4 or 5 times in a row to slowly move a pillar, but if your careful (eg paste directions into notepad and delete each step as you do it) the tip.it guide works fine.

However, my problem was the 3D puzzle, it said something about resetting first, did that. pulled all the levers like said in the guide. didnt work. resetted tried again, didnt work.

Yeah I think about 3 months ago it was still busted. I recall you being one who pointed out back then when I was pushing to get them to fix it with my guide they'd already used.

What's up there now 100% works right if you follow it to the letter.

yup I used the guide and it did work, and maybe it did seem to be longer because it really was boring ;)

Yeah, like these gentlemen said, the quest guide's been updated since. I was bullied into using it when doing the quest myself and can confirm that it works correctly now.

 

I think both concerns have been addressed properly then. Locking :)
