November 30, 201015 yr Ok, i have decieded to melee jad this time around, i'm experienced at the fight caves being the owner of multiple capes and i'm simply completeing my slayer task. Usually i use a halberd, this time i have decided to use a rapier. 1. Is the dps of the rapier high enough to not even bother with the healers? 2. What is the melee attack of jad like? Or is it simply a matter of recognizing that it's not his range or mage attack and then praying melee?
November 30, 201015 yr i never did jad, so don't quote me, but i think the melee attack of jad is too quiclky to switch, so you leave melee prayer always on, unless he does mage or range attack
November 30, 201015 yr I've never gotten that close to Jad, but according to what I've seen/heard and what the knowledge base says, his melee attack has no animation. November 30, 201015 yr ^this It's harder of course, because you just keep melee pray on, and switch when range/mage appears, then switch back to melee immediately. November 30, 201015 yr i do not bother with healers when i melee him. start with claws, because if you ko him with claws there is a bug which denies you the 25k bonus slayer xp. for prayer, i pray melee by default, and switch to ranged/mage as he uses it, then switch back to melee. November 30, 201015 yr Yeah when I did the caves I was using rapier/turm/ovls and the healers couldn't keep up with my damage. I'm sure with extremes, you'll manage. Overloads aren't too useful in the fight caves as long as you have Soul Split. ~It's Super Effective! November 30, 201015 yr Using rapier/piety/extremes I still out-DPS'd the healers =D You should be fine. I piety the fool.
November 30, 201015 yr my last fight cave run I actually forgot my bolts for jad (i melee whole cave but like to range jad due to simplicity)I ran up to jad and killed him in 6 hits...the heals barely showed up my minimap. I'm pretty sure you can outhit all 4 healers, since I can outhit 2 of them ranging him. Fisher/Woodcut------Me-----Miner/crafter----Stabber----Leecher ^Golvellius must be so proud^
