Hi there. I would like to get into the sig making business, but not into the good areas, as my art work is very poor. However, i can make simple sigs, and maybe animated ones when i get a bit better. I can place text on the sig, and would like to start, by just doing a few simple ones.

Tell me what theme you want your sig based on, details, stats, rs name, pictures etc.

Straight text, diagonal doesn't often look good.

 

 

 

Experiment with more filters such as clouds and "distorts" they give good looking sigs

agreed, you should start by making some free sigs for people just for the practice.

hmm...well as i say i am crap at art, and so if i dont sell these for anything i wont get better, even with practice. ok thanks for the tip anway. Maybe i should just give up now. :'(

what dose selling sis have to do with getting better

Gonna be honest. I dont like those colour, or the sigs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Maybe getter better fonts (http://www.dafont.com) and add some boarders. After that you have to improve the whole picture. Get a focal point and something not as colourful.

d0od don't quit, they were better than the one's i made when i first started, after a while you'll get better and eventually you may even get as good as demented (as if :roll: :P )

well, ok i will do them for free. And flyingmonkey, it's not so much selling them, it's just that i dont get better in anything i do with practice, but maybe that's just the way i look at it. Thanks for your opinions guys. (and gals)? amd ghghth how dare you ! :twisted: im a colourful person :D

Your sigs looks fine, but they are all oversized. Remember the max allowed size; 300x150x30kb

omg ! i cant do anything right can i. Hmmm....there i found out how to correct file size. My sig is corrected. So is Dark Gohansi's sig.

not too bad but the text is a little light you always need to make sure your text is easily readable...also if your makin and "ice" sig it makes it look better to make it sorta jagged....you should go around the boards and look at other ppls sigs also just to get and idea how different types look.......ok now make me one...red and blue with whatever text you want...i guess ill be your sig tester until you start gettin the hang of it :D

what are you using to make your sigs??? you need to add more texture and layers....like i said before go look around the site at other ppls sigs and see how they use the layers and shading and stuff....i like the little saying though :lol:

oh ya thats way better than the other one......just keep on lookin at other ppls work and experimenting with things.....try makin another one for me just using different effects until you get something that looks good
