December 13, 201015 yr My update for Left 4 Dead 2 has been in a state of frozenness for I think a few days now. Any ideas as to why? There's 24.6 out of 25.2 mb installed, but the download now says "Suspended." Pausing and resuming leads no results, and trying to launch the game tells me that it is currently unavailable. Help Please thanks!
December 13, 201015 yr What system? I'm going to assume the 360 considering the only other release it was on I believe was Microsoft Windows games. I would say turn your 360 off and just try doing the update again. It's rare, but the 360 can get in a rut while downloading an update.
December 13, 201015 yr If it's Steam, this happens to me all the time with PC stuff I download. Supposedly, it means the Steam servers are overloaded. Just click "resume all" or, alternatively, pause it then un-pause it. If niether works, click "play", it should download a little bit, then suspend itself, and you just have to repeat that until it finishes. It's a pain, but it gets done eventually.
December 13, 201015 yr Author It is on Steam (PC). Playing it says the game is unavailable, try later.Resume all does nothing, because technically I guess it isn't paused.Clicking pause - resume flashes the word updating before going right back to Suspended... I'll try restarting my pc (translation: I'm going to bed, tomorrow when I turn my pc back on I'll see if anything is different).
December 13, 201015 yr The flash is what you want. During that "updating" thing, it should be downloading. If it's really brief, sleeping is probably the best thing to do. If overload really is the reason for the problem, then finding a time when Steam is less active would be the solution.
December 14, 201015 yr Author I don't think the servers should prove THIS much of a problem. I'm downloading in rare bytes at a time. 2 hours for 216 bytes? Also, I think that the update restarts when I restart my computer, then stops at the same point (24.6mb)...
December 17, 201015 yr Author I'm redownloading the game now, because it still wasn't working. It says it's installing 10.6gb worth of stuff, but as I recall the game is about 8 max (It said I would need 7.8 to put it on my pc). What's going on?!?! EDIT: It suspended again, about 2gb through. It seems to have started up again though...

December 18, 201015 yr Author Can you elaborate this for me? I seemed to have the game working when I reinstalled the wntire thing, but then it got stuck 1.8mb through a 2.4mb install. I'm downloading it AGAIN now... -.-
December 19, 201015 yr open steam click steam tab at top then settings then goto the tab as in the image then change the dropdown box outlined in red
December 21, 201015 yr Author I'm gonna take a guess and assume that doesn't change anything in-game right? Only where the file downloads from? Dumb question, but I'd like to be sure. Also, will I have to restart the download?
