Best Way to Lvl Construction?

I am just wondering what the best way to lvl construction is? As in, what should I build? I hear oak larders are good...but I really have no idea. Money wise I have a 55m cash pile right now, among some combat items that I would rather not sell. What would be a good level to shoot for to have a cool house?

Construction exp is based on the type of plank, not the item you make, i.e. a larder using 4 (I think?) oak planks gives the same exp as another item using 4 oak planks.

Take a look at this; it shows you the gp/xp ratio for every plank with SC tools and any butler:

Dragon drops: 82 (2 claws)

Dagannoth kings drops: 73

Barrows item count: 51

GWD drops: 54 (5 hilts: 1x bandos, 3x saradomin, 1x zamorak)

Whips: 4

Sigils: 1x spectral (FFA), 1x arcane (FFA)

Thanks I took a look at that link, but I am a little lost...Oh and that's the other thing: Should I use SC tools? I have never played the game before, so is it hard to play/worth it?

Oak larders untill you can construct oak dungeon doors is the way to go I think.

I myself use SC hammers and xp is coming very, very fast. The minigame itself is not bad either, so you should atleast give it a shot.

Oh, and incase you didn't know the hammer gives about 60k extra xp, meaning that you can get little over 120k before it disintegrates.

Actually it gives approximatly 32k normal xp and 64k total xp before it disitegrates. 32k is the normal amount of xp it gives before adding the extra 32 or so k extra xp per hammer

Hammers are not worth it for speed and possibly not for cost, depending on your income.

Because xp is determined per plank, you want to make items that take lots of planks. Oak larders take 8, doors take 10.

Oh thanks that helps a lot. So I should do Oak Larders then?
