D-Def Vs V-Deflector

Having used the deflector & b-gloves over rune defender and v-gloves, just wondering if the addition of the dragon defender changes much in that department.

 

In this particular case it will be used against Black Dragons w/ a cannon, turmoil, overloads.

 

Since the cannon will be doing a lot of the work & the fact I think it's widely accepted your primary attack bonus effects your cannon's accuracy, would the +13 to stab outweigh the +6 strength. I know that 1 point of strength outweighs this if you hit over 50% of the time.

 

Or simply will the difference, due to using a cannon be insignificant and I should just use whatever.

Void with rapier, fire cape, dragon boots and fury.

 

Defender | Deflector.

 

Attack bonus:

130 | 117 stab

113 | 101 slash

 

Strength:

131 | 137

 

Prayer:

15 | 15

 

 

If you reeeeally like strength bonus, you can take deflector, but otherwise i'd just take defender for the enhanced accuracy.

Halfway through test, went with D-def & Ardy cape. Don't own Claws unfortunately, and cba speccing with any other weapon.

 

Really wish I brought summoning pots lol, even with bonecrusher.

~185 in 1 hour, full world, no specs, not really luring perfectly each time.

if training, the void deflector is better becouse the small boost in accuracy wont be as usefull as that small boost in str.

my advise would be to use the void + barrows rather then ddef.

In most situations, plus 6 str will give more damage per minute than plus 13 attack. Attack gives dimishing returns on how much accuracy it adds (the next additional point is worth less than the previous additional point). Black dragons are known for their high defence, I'm still confidant that plus 6 str is greater than plus 13 attack.

What about when using a cannon & the cannon makes up ~60% of total damage.
