  1. Has anyone recorded the rough charms/summoning xp/hr from bonfires?
  2. Because people don't rwt in Runescape. People don't rwt in WoW, people didn't rwt in Diablo 2. Diablo 3 is not an mmo, other people having items does not effect your play experience. Buying success doesn't matter. You can play the game alone, with friends etc. While doing so you have the opportunity to make some cash with a lucky drop (or consistent cash depending how the economy will work). I don't know about you, but the prospect of earning small amounts of cash legitimately from this game far outweighs the fact some random somewhere in the world in an entirely separate instance/game gets to use that item. In Runescape currently I have lots of gold, I have nothing to do with it. I know I could technically rwt it illegally for 50 cents a pop. If there was an integrated system where I could sell my gold for real money, I'd be all for it. So what if someone else is suddenly allowed to buy all the gear he wants. they could of done that anyway via a third party site. If you want a challenge in Diablo, you play on Hardcore. Hardcore has a separate gold auction house & NO Real money auction house. PvP isn't even patched in yet & I'm fairly sure a minority of people play the game for solely PvP anyway. Some people should actually play the game and read up on it before joining the circlejerk. The microtransaction point would be valid if Blizzard alone were selling the items in a shop.

  5. Going to guess Drumgun will Runespan all the way to 200m now as there are still front page ranks up for grabs. It suits his playstyle perfectly that he can AFK/Multitask it for 18hours a day or whatever it is.
  6. Went to rock crabs, have to move around too much. Fleshcrawlers are ok, getting ~25k xp an hr on these. Any other aggressive low def, low damage creatures around?
  7. Currently 40/40/35 with 43 prayer also. This account isn't a pure so defence will go up. Just wondering if there are any new or uncommon places to afk train. > I don't want/need to do slayer just yet as I only have to get it to 40 or so. > I have a salve amulet (not e) also a fury, no idea which is better at this low level. > Weapon is a Brine sabre and I guess I use this until 60 & Brackish Blade.   11. It's not like a random D&D hidden away in the game somewhere for players to go find once a day/week. It's so ingrained in the game now it's unbelievable. I am levelling a new account and doing a bunch of quests. I have like 40+ spins from doing them and every time I login I get a prompt to spin it, or his face pops up at the end of every quest. It's even part of the damn UI. It's also gambling, who wouldn't have a free roll at a roulette wheel if presented with one. Majority of people would certainly think twice when they have to pay to have a go though. TLDR: [bleep] you [bleep] CEO.

  13. I do feel it's bland and boring having done quite a few hours of it now. The initial sense of "wonder" or overwhelming feeling you get when you first enter the runespan soon disappears once you've worked out that sitting in the one place is pretty much the best thing to do. You are presented with this massive map of 3 floors yet you'll spend most of your time on one island. I believe that they could've made the activity a lot more dynamic. The wizard finding mechanic is the right idea, but poorly implemented. There should be 1 yellow wizard at all times and is the same for everyone, this would at least allow for a FC to keep his location for people at all times & would reward the whole group effort/teamwork thing they wanted to promote. (Kind of like PP Duo, you can get more xp by doing it with a friend, same way you could get more xp if the wizard was tracked at all times & was same for everyone.) There is also the runesphere but only being able to do 1 per day is stupid. You can't accumulate more dust from a runesphere even if you aren't up to the 1k cap after it breaks down. Also due to it's ability to spawn on every level it takes forever to find and even with a FC, there is no real reason for anyone to give up it's location. To further reward people not afk'ng they could have a mechanic whereby the xp-rates on runes are rotated. For example: You could have calls of "elemental", "Missile", "Conjuration", & certain runes that get a 20% xp bonus. Meanwhile certain runes are reduced by 20%. Kind of like the mage training arena it just rotates through things randomly. One giving great xp, mediocre xp & bad xp/points. This would discourage blatant afking but it's still relaxing game mechanic wise as you don't have to do much clicking. For a minigame with a point reward system it is extremely lackluster. For a zero effort grind/training of the skill it's good. The art team has done a great job but the game mechanics/programming department or whoever is responsible for design is clearly devoid of ideas.
  14. I guess in a way Frost Dragon Bones over normal Dragon Bones, it's 3x(?) faster but costs alot more money. Wouldn't be too bad if it had for instance a level requirement in prayer to bury, but essentially you can get 1m exp per hr with FDBs at level 1 prayer. Overall though, I do agree that most methods are pretty nicely tiered. Ah Dragon bones have dropped quite a lot. Still ,between those and frosts you have Dagannoth & Ourg bones which slot in between the 2 as alternatives.
  15. What skill is extremely expensive that gives much faster xp rates? Most buyables I can think of are tiered nicely without too much of a cliff in between xp rates and gp costs.
  16. This update might be nice for people who like to afktrain skills, but i despise this update. Runespan in a nutshell: 1: go to an empty world 2: find a spot with the highest level creature you can leech from 3: click on the creature 4: wait till he's dead 5: wait for the creature to respawn. There you go, repeat steps 3-5 a lot of times and you just got 99 rc. Fully afk-able and better xp than crafting bloods. They just made runecrafting like woodcutting and fishing, afk and level up. And you are not even crafting runes. While the skill is called runecrafting. Runecrafting used to be one of the hardest skills to level up, only the most dedicated people would eventually reach 99 and get that highly sought-after cape. That all has changed now. Why they made this update is beyond me. The lack of creativity in this runespan is painful to watch. This, in my opinion, is the worst update ever in runescape, including the removal of free trade and the squeal. I am extremely disappointed. Jagex, you just kicked runecrafting as a skill and everyone who liked to train it in the balls. I'm going back to crafting bloods with my lovely teletabs and morytania legs. Now, that is actually crafting runes. The whole point of this update is to make Runecrafting more beneficial for people like you. With 90% of people training via this now, the cost of runes should go up, allowing people like you to make a lot more profit for your troubles. RC has been severely lacking in competitive profit since 2006. The previous best method was ZMI which was essentially click like mad for very low profit/break even and acquire mediocre xp.
  17. These nodes keep changing on the same spot to other nodes. They aren't even disappearing. I'm fairly sure this isn't intended.
