I need help with ranged training my current stats are:

 

99 atk

99 str

99 def

99 hp

97 prayer

96 mage

and a low 86 range :/

 

What should I train on?

 

I will be using full ranged elite void + whatever wep you suggest.

You should use chinchompas at the skeletons in Marim Dungeon.

I'm not up to date of which of the types which is most efficient, sorry.

Red chinchompa's on skeletal monkeys under ape atoll. Look up one of the two guides in the AOW. Use eagle eye/rigour, steel titan/geyser titan and pray protect from melee. With elite void (deflector + acp), ranging ammy, sw cape etcetera you should be able to do 300k xp/hr and more.

Hmmm, range black dragons (range + cannon and lure)? That's mostly effigies though. It'd probably be best in the long run to dungeoneer, for now I guess you could do some solo GWD (Bandos mostly).

What's the average effigies per kills for blk drags? I need effigies for prayer anyway.

Eh it's pretty high, you can check the guide here. About an hour and a half for an effigy, 40k ranged xp from the cannon + 66k strength xp (which would become ranged xp, and it'd be slower than rapier of course).

If you want to get ranged and profit, why not metal drags? Xp is decent (I got 95k per hour at only 72rng), they drop numerous good items (drag bones/drag items), and the ones out at the lv52sennisten castle are rarely crowded...

Because metal dragons are bad to cannon, and to range in general. Steel dragons are 882 (ranged w/o cannon) xp each, so you killed ~110 steel dragons per hour with ranged, at 72 ranged? Or did you get 135 iron dragon kills?

 

Black dragons are better xp because of their lack of long-range breath, which allows you to lure them. They also drop both bones and hides, and while your yak can only bank so many, I think it can keep up with the bones (summoning pots for hides, perhaps).

I actually killed a mix, resulting in around 125-130kph. Metal drags allow for more profit, therefore, closer to chinning? And although black drags do drop hides, it never really seemed worth it seeing as I tended to get a dragon item every hour....mind you, it could've been just due to a lucky week...

You get up to 130 kph at 72 ranged... I find that very hard to believe, as meleeing + cannoning in void + rapier is 140 (steel dragons) maximum, and that's with overloads/turmoil/max melee.

This sounds like that guy that said he averaged 15 herbs a patch over the course of three weeks...at 88 range I can promise you that number is not close to accurate.

 

For range exp and money some obvious choices are aviansies, lots of people kill for the cash, use the cash to chin.

 

Black dragons are a better option though, in the evil chickens lair. Just make sure to combine it with your dailies and herb runs (scroll of life and juju pots ideally) so that you can take that profit and turn it into chinning.
