halo475
I'm considering making a staker that has high chance of winning and a high chance of engaging in duels, now obviously a def, summoning tank is by far the best, but who is gonna let you use summoning in a duel? So i need a staker that is good but gets into duels =] Prayer will always be 1, or minimum amount possible if i have to do dt. 1. Mage based 53cb 78 att61 mage90 hp All the rest 1 (can have some str to assist with att training) This staker would use zuriels staff and cast miasmic rush and then blood rush and own a arcane stream necklace for a max of 225 and 187 respectively, all other armour slots apart from shield would be disabled. I would fight melee, mage and range although i doubt melee will fight as i can freeze. 2. 53cb, range based 64 range90 hp All the rest are 1. Would just use the highest range dps weapon (which i can't remember) 3. 53cb, melee and range based 76 str60 att35 hp92 range The rest are 1 Low hp but powerful could get the job done with dds or claws ( i'm guessing shield slot will be disabled for melee fights to prevent them?) very quick against other level 53's Or dark bow spec followed by highest dps range weapon or open with dds and then a d bow spec, only problem is lasting 2 rounds with 35 hp because that would have 90% chance + at killing a 1 def level 53, surely. So basically in my opinion i think the first is un beatable against range and melee, but getting range to fight me may be hard, if i fight mage they might be doing more damage with a higher level spell but will my high hp negate that? And will a get many fights at all in this build? For number 2 i am fairly confident of winning, not much more to say. Number 3 would be amazing but lasting most likley 2 claws specs as i need shield enabled to use dark bow is almost impossible, but it is also just as impossible for them to survive too. So please offer feedback relating to improvements or a completely new build, thanks :)
muggiwhplar
The only people who will ever stake you are people who have the same "build" as you and use the exact same tactics as you. Stats and equipment don't matter. Your cashpile does. What's the point of trying to trick someone into staking you when you're only going to win one duel against them? No one is going to offer their entire bank on the first duel. The best stakers fought people who had similar stats and identical tactics as them. You only get rich from staking by cleaning people, and in order to clean people, you have to keep them coming back to you for more. Why would anyone in their right mind keep staking someone who they have no chance of beating? tl;dr: Don't waste your time trying to create an account designed solely for staking or trying to think of special fool-proof tactics. xpx
muggi is right. Making some obscure accounts to win stakes has never really been a way to go. People can see your stats, and if they can't, they won't stake you. The best lower level staker you can make is 99 mage, 99 def and 99 hp for box mage staking, but apart from that, 138 cb is the way to go. First to 99 Farming on 27. I've been out of the loop since staking ended however during the end of its course I was staking anywhere from 50k-5million at a time. I would be happy to provide some evidence of this. You don't need to "clean" someone out to make a bit of cash. The average age of a typical RS player I would imagine is pretty young as a such you play to emotions. Beat someone and say "I got lucky", "wow, my first time winning!" or "you suck", whatever your taunt of choice is and many times people will go round 2, 3, 4 to stake again. Having said that, my personal opinion leans towards multi-pures with 1 def, 1 pray. Back in the day, I would encounter pures, def hoarders, and mixes. So building a staker with specific goals in mind is just fine. Never wear your best armor while walking around and your stats won't be as impressive. Finally, always expect a switch. Make sure you can Mage/Range, Range/Melee, or Melee/Mage. If you can only do 1, you'll limit yourself greatly. As far as I remember, Mage has a % that's passive so just having mage levels (which you can build without building hp, thus not affecting your CB level) will give you magic defense in additional to whatever defense you already have. From this post I'm inferring that you never made 100M+ from a days worth of staking
