Cyclone Yasi

Yeah, they really haven't caught a break recently. And recently, northeastern USA is getting a massive snow and icestorm. [cabbage] just got real. Luckily enough for me I barely dodged the storm.

The winter storm in the US wasn't too bad-- at least where I live. It just rained a lot and -4C temperatures froze the water. Luckily it was also very windy, so the majority of the water dried off the roads. There were some snow flurries, but none of it really stuck to the ground.

I was on the periphery of the storm by the way. Not too far away from where I live, the storm was severe.

We had the 3rd largest blizzard in history here. ( Chicago)

Oh no, not a little snow. How will they ever get around now? Who'da thunk that winter = snow?

You don't have a clue how bad the roads get here if snow comes in. The area I live in has roads already treacherous enough as it is, and ice basically means you aren't going anywhere, even with a vehicle equipped specifically for it, unless it's a salt truck or something. And being a smartass isn't helping.

I laughed at pictures of store shelves empty

Blizzards are the new shark attack

It's great that no one died in the cyclone (or according to the news no confirmed deaths).

How bad was it?
