Minz
Ok I'm looking at several things. Firstly, which would kill lobs faster? Burst/barrage. What would be the best setup to kill them, not save runes. Looking for best kills/hour And finally, any idea on charm rates /hour? And would this be halfed if lootsharing with another person, or is it a bit skewed towards the person bursting/barraging? Appreciated
holiday
Barrage would obviously kill them faster.
Georgelemmons
A fully maxed setup would have a seers ring (i), an arcane spirit shield, and full Virtus. I tried to keep the setup reasonable, though. Barraging kills faster. I don't really have any good info on charm rates, sorry. Minz
Thanks for that, set-up looks less costly than was thinking :P
Georgelemmons
I don't know if you're experienced with rock lobsters, but really a ring of life would be a good idea when you're starting out. Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <

That_Brown_Kid
Victims of natural selection use seers ring. Use ring of life.
Minz
Anyone have any ideas on charm rates? and an estimated cost/hour would be nice
Sir_Squab
Actually, the posted setup probably isn't the greatest; any magic damage modifiers only work on the creature your actually targeting, not the other 8 lobsters. Frankly, if cost TRULY isn't an issue, I'd go with a master wand. Or a water staff, lol. You might want to scratch the arcane stream too. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.[spoiler=The rest of my sig. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupineThe only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it. Georgelemmons
A master wand does have +20 magic attack over the +18 of a chaotic staff, but while damage bonuses only affect one lobster, will a mage bonus this high the difference in splashes will be negligible. In addition, the arcane stream has the highest magic attack in the game aside from the 3rd age mage amulet. Quyneax
I would use the following: sol, arcstream, sw cape, mitre, seers (i), infinity boots, ahrim's top and skirt, arcane spirit shield, barrows gloves. You can also use an unholy book. Either way such a setup requires no switching for luring (20/22 base prayer bonus, you could use a stole switch for 10 more). Barraging is faster. I don't recommend bursting at all unless you really want magic xp. Also, don't use battle robes when bursting, though they are ok when barraging. Ahrim's hood is always a bad idea really. It has +6 magic attack and degrades, the farseer helmet has +6 and doesn't, the healer hat has +7 and doesn't, the third-age hat has +8 and doesn't and the mitre has +4 (iirc) and +5 prayer.
