With the new free trade updates can I now flip through the 4 hour limit in this sense:

 

Let's say I buy 10k Dragon bones, I know I cant buy any more for 4 hours, but can I now flip them immediately on the ge, or do I still have to wait 4 hours as I did prior to the update?

you can sell and buy immediately without waiting 4 hours

 

you buy 10k dragon bones

you can sell 10k dragon bones immediately

now you can buy another 10k dragon bones immediately

 

the way i think of the current system is that the ge only allows a certain limit of items to be purchased, in net, per 4 hours.

Bladewing has it right, the only thing I would add is:

 

While you're selling an item, you can buy more of that item based on how many you've sold. For example, while you're selling those 10k d bones, you can keep a buy offer in for d bones. Say 2k bones have sold -- you are eligible to buy 2k more.

Yeah, this. I kind of miss the old limits because I had gotten very good at using them to my advantage. I'm sure I'll figure out how to make this new system work for me just as well, though.
