Lvl3Reborn
Hello all! I am going to start playing RS again, because the Wildy is back so I've got something to do on my PKer but I was wondering what has changed in the last year? Like, I played last in like Summer of '09, so would there be some things I wouldn't know about or anything I need to know about? I already noticed the new skill, don't know what it's about though. Also, what is this about "Chaotic" weapons I hear? If anyone could enlighten me about the basics it'd be greatly appreciated as I don't know if I will be coming in blind or still know what I'm doing. Sy_Accursed
Chaotic weapons come the new skill and pwn.As do many other useful equipment items (magic amulets, special saving rings etc) In terms of pking I don;t think too many people risk chaotic weapons, but a popualr method atm is a 1 hit style kill achieved with ring of rigour which allows you to do a d claw spec followed by korsari's sword spec; which is like 99% guaranteed to hit over 990 damage.Lorsari's sword is a popular pk wep in general as well as far as i know, it is gotten from a new void knight quest series, the first part of which as A Void Dance (i think) Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Lvl3Reborn
Ah alright. Well I can't do that quest anyways, don't meet the requirements, nor attack level requirement. But other then the new quests is the gameplay the same still? I know all damage has has been multiplied so a normal 10 in the old style is now a 100. But is that really all new to the gameplay? Also, what's so special about dungeoneering?
LitterBug
^ they provide basically some of the best items in the game Check out the reward section of the dungeoneering guide. In addition to weapons, they offer a few special items that make different skills more profitable/easier to train. For example:1.) Scroll of life - returns seeds you have planted 10% of the time (if the plant survives - 5% if it has died)2.) Bonecrusher - automatically buries the bones of the monsters you have killed... The list goes on
Th e Doctor
Not sure why you would list the bonecrusher in the list of appealing rewards...arcane stream necklace would have made more sense (provides a 15% boost to magic damage). Armadyl Drops : 4 Hilts; 3 Chestplates; 2 Chainskirts; 1 Helmet; 1 Buckler; 2 Shard 1; 2 Shard 2; 1 Shard 3Nex : 1 Zaryte BowKalphite King : 1 Drygore Rapier ; 1 Drygore Longsword : 1 Drygore Offhand Rapier : 1 Drygore Offhand Longsword
Lvl3Reborn
Oh, alright. So it is definitely worth leveling up then? Also, so PKing is back completely and free trade is as well? So does that mean RS is back to the old ways and all the other mini-games are still here and the GE, right?
Big_Stingman
Yes, dungeoneering is worth the level up, and I find it fun too. Yes PKing is back completely and free trade. The GE is here yes (Just without price limits), and all the minigames are as well. It has evolved though with new items and a new skill, so now I wouldn't say is "back to the old ways." Unless you mean free trade and wildy are the old ways, then yes.
Lvl3Reborn
Alright, well I'll try it out after I finish 99 range/fletching like I was working on before I took a hiatus. But, yes I mean like its back to where the game had its thrills and still fun gameplay. But alright, thank you all for your help. I am going to enjoy playing again with all the old rules but new gameplay. =D
