I started this months ago and never finished it. Yesterday i thought i would finish it and thought I could just restart the puzzle by hitting reset and off I went. I got through puzzle one which corresponded with the pics , and then something went wrong, even though I used a different guide (used by a friend) none of the puzzles looked right and nothing worked :| So I reset and started again, still nothing worked. I am worried that I have totally buggered it.

 

I fully intend on using the Tip it guide this time (yes I have learned my lesson) but I want to know, if I reset the puzzle again can I just start at the beginning, and hopefully it should work? I had put in the infinite moves so will i have to do these again.

Um, that "puzzle" has three puzzles in it. You solve puzzle 1, stuff happens, now you gotta solve something else. If you managed one of the puzzles, then you'd have that one forever beaten, and you start at the next one. Chances are you beat one of the puzzles, so the puzzle would reset to something different this time. (Puzzle 2 or whatnot.) That's probably your problem.

Hate to disillusion you more but most people I know swore at the Tip It guide after it was wrong and got them messed up(myself included) and switched to Zybez's to finish the quest. It's possible Tip It's is correct now but dunno I'd chance it, it was messed in the 3rd part btw. One of the site's guides has pictures of what each part looks like use that to place where you're at.

Tip.it guide was bugged for a while cause some silly crewbie made edits to my perfect guide tht it was based on.

But it has been fixed for a good 6 months now, 100% re-quotes my guide that 100% works.

Or did you just find it hard to resist the chance to make yourself look a fool by posting something totally irrelevant to the topic? I am aware I have to solve puzzles and while I was doing it, somewhere I went wrong or I wouldn't be asking for help in the Help forum would I?

 

 

All I want to know is what I need to do to restart the whole bloody thing again so I can finish the quest. it's a simple enough question. If I knew the answer I wouldn't be asking would I?

 

Sy I would appreciate your input as you seem to be the person who actually seems to have a good insight into this (cabbage) of a quest.

The reset lever only puts the blocks back into starting positions it does not undo the puzzles results (eg u retain extra moves and blocks remain lowered)

But before I could say for sure where you need to start from (in tip.it guide) I'd need to know what state your puzzle is in.

Namely:

1) Has the back right section (with the two tier block) been lowered?

2) Has the back left section (with the three tier block) been lowered?

3) Has the bottom left counter been activated (thus making it spark and twitch)?

 

If none of them are yes start with puzzle 1

If 1 is true then start at puzzle 2

If 2 is true start at puzzle 4

If 3 is true start at puzzle 5

 

If you are not sure what state the puzzle is in pull the reset lever and post a screenshot; I can tell you where you are at then.

Right corner is down and u got 32 extra moves on the clock so start with puzzle 3 in the tip.it guide and you'll be fine.

I have no idea what I have done wrong here... seriously

 

I have done all the moves from puzzle 3 and none of them looked like the corresponding pics at all.

 

Here are my screens shots I didn't think to screen shot after puzzle three. It didn't look right either.

I did puzzle 7 and nothing happened at all :wall:

 

I did have to undo 1 move in puzzle 6 but that should not have made a difference in any of the others. I am beginning to think I have stuffed the thing so badly I have broken the quest :roll:

That was like really uncalled for, but gl on that quest. I've yet to attempt.

You missed a round of steps in puzzle 3, as it does have atleast 1 section where moves repeat (eg u have to do b, 6, f, 2 about 4 times in one puzzle)

By not doing 3 right you never unlocked the next part of the system (used for subsequent puzzles)

 

Reset and go from puzzle 3 again, try copying the instructions into notepad and delete each move or 2 AS YOU DO THEM to 100% ensure none r missed.

Each image shows what you should see after a pair of moves.

So first image under puzzle 3 displays the puzzle after the first 2 moves and so on.

Thanks Sy, I missed one set of B,5,E,2 and all went well until the end of puzzle 5 which is whirring and clicking and actually looking how it is supposed to.

 

I went to start puzzle 6 and got the message "Nothing interesting happens, perhaps if it were powered first". I thought maybe because I have done puzzle 6 previouslyI could move onto puzzle 7 and nup, no way, got the same message again.

 

Sitting here scratching my head. I haven't reset or anything like that. Just wondering what seems to have gone wrong.

 

God I hate puzzles.

Yeah I put a note in that other thread the first two mvoes of puzzle 6 throw up tht message; u shuld jsut ignore it.

Finally I have finished this today. Work is a pain and I have been unable to finish this until now.

I hope others find this thread when they get stuck on this cabbage of a quest.

To complete the making of the final Body suit after Puzzle 7 you MUST have a stat restore potion with you as your defence needs to be above 33 each time to make each bar.
