When i was killing Frost Dragons yesterday, I found that it dropped 200 Noted Battlestaves

A lot of creatures have been dropping 200 battlestaves recently. While I was killing basilisks for a slayer task(annoying task) I got a 200 battlestave drop....It made me happy. :thumbsup:

I believe that's a ring of wealth only drop. Meaning, when it shines it gives access to the Ring of Wealth only drop table.

There is no ROW only drop, the ROW only increases the chances to get the drop.

There's a different drop table, eg. 200 noted battlestaves or noted talismans when using the Ring of Wealth. You cannot obtain it without a Ring of Wealth, so it becomes a ROW only drop.

 

That's why they've happened over a wide variety of non-specific monsters and only occuring when the ROW 'shines brightly'

 

Other drops such as gems are a different story because they're on a different drop table.

Actually you can obtain them without a ring of wealth, it has never been stated by jagex that you can not get it without a ROW, those items are on the same drop table as the old drop table (thus making the drop table bigger) As a matter of fact check my iron dragon topic about 29 earth talismans (of the new drop table) where my ROW doesn't shine. Oh and btw if you come with the argument that runescape wiki said it, check the main rare drop table of runescape wiki, remember that runescape wiki has many mistakes.
