Glitch with seed of life?

LitterBug

Recommended Posts

Earlier today, I was clearing a dead snapdragon patch. I recently unlocked the scroll of life and as I was clearing the patch - I found a toadflax seed...

I was just wondering if this was a glitch or was this how the scroll actually worked.

Does it just randomly choose any seed to give back?

I was under the assumption that I would get back whatever seed I planted

on a dead patch you have a chance to get a random seed. this is not a bug.

from a live patch you can only get the same seed that is planted, though.

Makes sense, thanks a lot.

Just out of curiosity - on a dead patch, is it equally possible to get any herb seed or are some more probable then others?

It's not a glitch in the sense that it is working in the way that Jagex says that it is supposed to work.

I still feel that it is a "bug" since it only happens because they never bothered to keep track of what the herb was supposed to be once it dies.

For seed returns from a dead patch, I think the odds are skewed in favor of the lower herb seeds. You are more likely to see a tarromin, harralander, toadflax i.e. seeds as opposed to snapdragon, dwarf weed, and torstol seeds being recieved froma dead patch.

I haven't found skewing to be the case- I've gotten plenty of lant and dwarf and torstol seeds along with my harra tarra and gout tubors. Not sure I've EVER had a guam or merr come to think of it, and I know I've had at least a few torstol.
