Treasure Trail items

I got smoked, unexpectedly (but my fault), in the wildy and lost a robin hood hat and ranger boots, but kept a black leather torso. Do TT items have no "death worth"?

And again, my own fault getting pk'd so no need to go through the whole "If you don't want to lose it..." thing.

They are basically taken as a cosmetic item because they are from treasure trails, and cosmetic items doesn't have high alch values, therefore you lost them.

My lame drops:
6 Effigys
1 D Med - 1 D Dagger
1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody

TT items all have a "worth"

However, many people complain about how jagex implements this "worth"

If you really wanted to check out an item's worth - just google (it should be the low or the high alch value - I can't remember it but for comparison purposes, it doesn't matter)

It's a hard system to work out but as it is, strange items like dragon battle axe will protect over items worth a LOT more i.e whips, etc

Items you lose are determined by their alcing value, and the values of robin and ranger boots are very low (270 and 120 Gp).

You lost them because the item(s) you kept have a higher alcing value.

This. Generally item protection is determined by alching value, but certain items have different protection rules (that are irrelevant to this topic, so I'll refrain from explaining).

So, TT items do have alch values, so they will protect over certain items. Most of them have low alch values, but their rarities have shot their trade prices high. (so your item protection might not turn out like you hope--make sure to check if you're not sure!)
