Not 100% sure, but I'm gonna say no.

As far as I am aware it will only work with the t1 - 11 melee sheilds; then the other special off-hand items (surgebox, defenders and such) don;t work as they r not sheilds.

 

The description very clearly specifies a shield, not a shield slot item.

As with the non-dg world all items that take shield spots are not shields.

Well from what I already know about dungeoneering, just because a description can be specific doesn't mean it's 100% right. Thanks for the input though :)

You should use Berserker ring over Tank ring, tank ring is pretty useless.

To the above, people do use melee weapons like the rapier and battleaxe with Surgebox. So unless OP happens to be pure maging, Berserker is the best suggestion.

You answered the question so I was giving alternative advice for what ring class to use instead of Tank as you stated that it does not worth with a CSB.

 

It doesn't work. Choose another ring.
