stats/items order

Aten

Recommended Posts

I know this has been brought up a few times, but I hadn't thought about it then so never noted it down. Basically, what's the suggested order of obtaining stats/items? I have extremes banked, but I'm not sure what to do next. I have barely any charms, and I'll have my first chaotic at 85 dg (at which point I will be camping frosties with ext/piety/tort)

- Turm

- Ovls

- uni

- Yak

- EEE

- chaotics

I was thinking of maxing melee by taking a maul as my first chaotic and camping waterfiends at ancient cavern, but I'm also considering grabbing a rapier and just picking up whatever charms come by in slayer (since I need plenty of slayer xp as well). My end goal is to max out completely, so somebody in DGS chat had suggested cannoning black demons to get my ranged up but I don't know how this looks in terms of gp/xp total. Wat do? In terms of gear, I've got bandos/fury/zerker and typical other stuff. Aside from that, my main source of cash will be frosties and some merching once I get a decent pile.

In terms of my day-to-day combat activities as well as future plans, mainly I just slay and do dungeons in between tasks but eventually I do want to get into serious pvm.

This is a list Quyneax gave me on my topic about 1.5 months ago:

DKS: unicorn > yak > extremes > overload > chaotic rapier > turmoil - Since you want to yak the bones/hides & all-round offence + healing with brews are important (which requires ovl). Melee offence is not that important, hence turmoil last, though soul split will prolong trips.

TDS: unicorn > chaotic maul > extremes > overload > turmoil > yak - A unicorn will heal all damage you take at tds. Other than that you just want to increase your offence. Rigour is probably good to get.

GWD: unicorn > chaotic rapier > extremes > overload > turmoil > yak - A unicorn allows healing without lowering stats or taking attack turns. Otherwise you want to increase your offence.

Nex: REQUIRES overloads and yak and chaotic crossbow and probably also chaotic rapier and maul - You need the 30 bonus brews & permanent stat boost (especially on fumus) as well as the accuracy.

KBD: chaotic rapier > unicorn > turmoil > yak > extremes > overload - The rapier is a huge dps increase over the zspear, and with either a unicorn or turmoil you can stay healed forever. A yak is for bones and hides.

KQ: extremes > overload > chaotic maul > unicorn > turmoil > yak - She hits so much that the only way to keep atk/str boosted is through overloads, or you'll lose lots of attack turns to eating.

Slayer: chaotic rapier > extremes > turmoil > unicorn > yak > overload - Offence before all.

> indicates order to get in (get ... before ...) not greater than.

Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.

If your going to max melee i would say get rap, as for which one first( this is just personal opinion) turm>yak/uni>ovl, probably not the right order but thats what I would do.

^That list is still about correct, I'd add that for dungeoneering turmoil is great, so if you can get it by selling Bandos it's very much worth it.

The order of ease to obtain depends heavily on your merching capacity but if it's good the order is turmoil > extremes > overload imo, turmoil being rather nicely afkable for 800k xp/hr, extremes slightly slower if you stew (plus that if you don't stew, your xp/pot will be somewhat lower), overloads about as fast with stew I think.

For nonbuyables/partially buyables I'd say chaotic > unicorn > yak > steel titan. For EEE, it's somewhere around extremes and before chaotics, so pretty easy to do really.

Now of course ease to obtain =/= usefulness, which again depends on your merching capacity. If you don't need to do any combat moneymakers at all, I'd say just burn through all fast buyables + rapier and slay to max melees/99 slayer with cannon etc, using up charms every time you can get a better combat familar (e.g., spirit dagganoth then geyser then wolper then iron then steel). Since you got quite a bit of slayer to do I think you'll get 99 summoning through slayer, especially if you do your Bork & triple charms on wyverns/black demons/waterfiends tasks (greaters if you cannon them in the wilderness). You will have to slay beyond max melee but that's alright as you have a lot of ranged xp to cannon.
