KX Bow + ???

Hello TIF,

 

I was wondering what my melee weapon should be (i would perfer 2h weapons as im not very good at switching a 1h melee weapon + defender). I was thinking about borrowing a AGS from my friend Tim to try. Im slowly working my way to 85 dung where i plan to get a maul (i know i should be getting a rapier first but i perfer to have fun over being efficient and the maul is my kind of weapon :P). So i was wondering for the time being if u could make some suggestions on 2h melee weapons i can use with my KX Bow.

 

Also i was wondering if u could make some suggestions on changed i can make to my setup with the 5m cash i have to use.

 

Current Setup:

Helm of Neitiznot

Glory (saving up for a fury)

Black D'hide Top

Black D'hide Chaps

Dragon Boots

Barrows Gloves

Zerker Ring / Ring of Life (for now until i get used to pray/weapon switching)

Ardy cloak 3 (working on getting my SW cape as well)

Karil's Xbow

1k Bolt Racks

 

Keeping in mind on any setup changes i can make would be on a 5m limit.

 

Oh btw i have a Verac Skirt, Deflector, Full Elite Void melee and range, Ext's (att,str, and a few range pots)

a whip without a defender would be better than any 2h weapon that you have access to

You don't have access to chaotics so a godsword is fine. You should use void instead of the black d hide and switch the ring to a ring of wealth (increases chance of claw drop)

 

Edit: as above poster said whip+defender also works

And if you have both melee and range void helms, definitely go void instead of dhide.

I'm not sure what offense I've commited by suggesting a 2h weapon to use when you clearly asked for one. On top of that you pointedly stated you care naught for efficiency and play for fun. A rune 2h could very well fullfill that fun factor for you.

 

Because you aren't actually offering it as advice, you are saying it as a result of vindictiveness to people flaming the efficiency crowd when they point out that the OP of a thread is somehow being inefficient, and the moderators who don't disallow in-efficient advice; thus, you are being rude in a way that you can claim innocence towards if someone accuses you of it.

I know lol but the prob is from 1-60 i did most of it with ToG and what dung's i did do i put the tokens on my Ring and bought SoL and accidently bought Arcane Pulse necklace.

 

 

I'll go ahead and buy a SS and borrow my friends AGS to see which one i like more.

On topic your best bets for 2 handed weapons before you get your maul are the Saradomin Sword as mentioned by wadebling and Sir Squab, any Godsword, and of course claws for your spec weapon. If you don't own a godsword and can't borrow one for whatever reason and you don't want to use a sara sword a barrelchest anchor is +100 str and same speed as the GS, as well as looking hilarious when you hit the TD with it.

I never thought about BCA lol but im going to see how i like AGS and SS first if neither of them are to my likeing ill just wait to TD until i get my maul and i'll focus 100% on getting it.

Personal opionion, using a sarasword and borrowing claws for the spec might be a more efficient fun use of your money ;) claw specs are much more reliable than AGS specs.
