Dragon slayer gloves

So, i was suiting up for my skele wyvern task in my range outfit, and i saw my dragon slayer gloves in my bank. I had totally forgotten about these, so i looked up their use on Tip.it, and it says +10% to attack and +15% to xp. My question is, does this +10% to attack only count toward the attack skill, and make melee more accurate, or does it count to whatever attack style you are using, in this case ranged.

Its 10% bonus to accuracy

Not worth using over dark gloves, but if you insist on using them, or are cannoning a task such as blacks, put them on for the final blow to get a boost of slayer xp

What are these dark gloves? Ive never heard of them, so i assume they came out during my ~6 month break

Oh, I know what those are haha, Ive just never heard them called dark gloves before.
