Black screen

Featured Replies

Occasionally when I change my viewing angle using the arrow keys, my runescape screen suddenly turns black. I have the latest version of java and a decent computer, but I never seem to have the problem with my other ones. Anyone know what's going on?

Thanks for any responses.

Try reinstalling Java. Most black screen issues are java issues.

Do you have crash logs? (he_err_pid_<number>)

I'm not sure where they would appear on a Windows system, probably My Documents or some such.

Isn't that actually "hs_err_pid<number>.log"???

BTW, I can tell you that I've found some of mine floating around the install directory for Logitech's Setpoint Software, just to name one of several places. So it is very likely that dire1 will need to run a full search of their hard disks. :(
