70 Hunter - Best way to level up?

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm currently 70 hunter and I really want to get this skill up

I currently have hunter brawlers that I've been using on black sallies, but those will soon run out. So I'm basically wondering what should I hunt? My goal is level 87 (effigies)

I am not worried about profit or loss, just fastest xp.

If anyone could post anything it would be great, especially if someone can post a template of some sort (such as level 70-75 hunt ____) etc.

Thanks!

Iirc, 97 hunter is needed for effigies, not 87.

Is the ooglog pool a visible boost? If so, I can do that. If it isn't are there any besides hunter potions?

I don't know if the hunter pool works, but I personally have never tried it. In regards to training, red chinchompas work, its what I did.

I've heard they are great, but the problem is the bots.

Is herblore habitat any good xp in the 70s?

Anyone have any ideas? I can't find any guides that don't talk about chins on the forums...

You could hunt those Jadinkos from Herblore Habitat, or just stick with Black Salamanders.

Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.

Thanks, is it jadinkos from 71-87?

I really wouldn't do red chins for hunter now. There are bots and they weren't very good exp/h to begin with.

For herblore habitat, I would check out the guide in aow. It has many different methods of jadinko hunting, pick the one you like the most.

If you want money, once you reach 77/80 hunter, you could try grenwall. I get 500-600 spikes per fruit bat pouch at lvl 80.

If none of those tickle your fancy, you could always do red sallys. They are closer together then black sallys and they are caught quicker so they are actually faster exp.

I would test jadinko's at your level, if you find them too slow, do red sallys to lvl 80 and do jadinkos from there.

Thank you very much for all the options, I'll start looking into them.

I tried common jadinkos once I reached 70 hunter, but found them too slow for good training xp at that level.

I personally do orange sallys right now in the desert (works really well if you have the enchanted water tiara). They are 224 xp each and there are 4 traps near eachother, so you get xp pretty quickly.

This.

Common Jads are really slow at 70. There is a Herblore Habitat guide in AOW which quotes 81k xp/hr on common jads but I think that is with Arctic Bear and maybe higher hunter level. Also, red chins are a bot fest and reportedly slower xp than red salamanders (although I can't confirm).

Not sure about orange but reds at the minute I'm getting 73k xp/hr with attention. Am thinking of trying black sals but one trap is far away and the aggressive giants are annoying. Also pkers might spoil the rate.
