Dung advice

Featured Replies

I only solo dung. The only time I team is if a friend needs it or I need a piece of armor/weapon. I'll probably join DGS if I get 80+, but for now, I prefer soloing to teaming with idiots on W117.

Right now I have a Gorg 2H, 125 Cosmics, and a Katagon plate bound. I feel like the 2H is too slow since I'm usually fighting lowish level monsters. Should I switch to a gorg baxe and get a shield? Or is 2H always the best?

I believe that the gorg 2h will have higher dps and also has all 4 attack styles (correct me if im wrong), so you'll be better off with the 2h. The stats of a shield are about half of the stats of a platebody (approximation), the shield is always worse. I looked into a primal kiteshield as my third bind and was disappointed.

You would probably be better off replacing the cosmics with a surgebox bind, simply because it doesn't take long to make cosmic runes every floor and it would speed up your floors if you were able to kill the warriors with magic.

Look for a shadow silk hood to replace the platebody bind you currently have, it is better to use than a platebody and is dropped by night spiders, which require 41 slayer to kill.

... Hopefully this helps (:

Spear has stab, 2h doesn't

You only want it for the slash/crush option (remember to have it on the aggressive style)

You can certainly experiment - but you'll find that rather then taking a long (really not that long time) on single gd monsters - you'd be spending a larger time on bosses.

Since bosses (generally speaking) are where you would die (especially since you're just doing solo's) - you'd want these fights to be faster rather then the gds.

So it's probably not worth it to trade for 'slightly' faster gds but longer bosses with more KO potential.

Remember that the first death is -13% exp and so is the 2nd.

When I solo'ed med C6 floors (in order to practice keying/gate placement) - I didn't die too much (maybe once at the most)

If the bosses lasted longer then they already did - I'm 100% sure my kill count would've been higher.

I don't think I've really died in a gd room in a C6 since they rarely contain more then two or three monsters and even if this is the case, you can pray and just tank a few hits.

Imo, if you're running small C6- platebodys are probably? more useful then the ssh

However - the ssh is rare and is infinitely more valuable in team dungeoneering so don't hesitate in breaking bonds for this one.
