So after realizing how much xp can be gained from effigies, Ive decided to work on my agility through them since I completely hate it. Now what is the best way to go about obtaining effigies? Im not too concerned with the combat xp, or way of killing the monster, just how fast i can get some effigies.

Your xp in effigy skills is way too low to use them effectively. Asking assist for all of them just for the dragonkin lamp is not worht it IMO. First get 90+ wc, fish, mining, hunt/herb etc before you start opening them. (cant hurt collecting them already though).

Aren't crawlers only fast effigies near max melee/summoning?

Sorry? Yes, being maxed and having high level summoning monster obviously makes cave crawlers even faster.

I don't think that anything else is faster for gathering effigies even if you are a mere level 60, therefore, I don't understand the meaning of your post. :P

Besides, cannon does most of the work anyway, which means that having maxed melee stats is less of a factor even more so. According to Vex's spectacular guide, only 25% of the damage is inflicted by melee based attacks.

Ah okay, I've not actually tried crawlers myself so I'm not sure how much damage is inflicted by titan/melee. I merely thought that at lower levels, cannoning black demons in Taverley was a better idea.

If you intend on using effigies on summoning(which you really shouldn't do, unless you really don't care about slow skills and never will care), then yes, cannoning black demons would be better, since you get a lot more summoning xp in charms dropped by black demons.

Black demons are in single combat area, so it's more important to have high-end melee stats and gear.

Everyone else has got the effigies covered but a penance horn may be a good option as well.

Recharge it by doing barbarian assault and then train agility with 2x experience.
