Dusk Souls
Ok, I heard that one of the best money making strategies in RS is the MTK "minigame/activity"; but before I can make use of it I need to finish the Throne of Miscelania Quest and therefore the Hero's quest. So far I am only missing the mining requirement (50 IIRC) so I want to gain 9 levels as fast as possible, cause I am tired of being poor, so any advice? I am currently level 41 (just level earlier today) and I have a rune pickaxe. I was thinking on mining Iron in the Cave Goblin's mines thinking I can make a little profit by selling the iron ores; but I don't know if mining gold (possibly in Tzaar) would be better XP and profit. Hedgehog
Mine iron by Ardougne. Stay in the spot with the 3 ores. Drop 3 ores at a time.
Kaida23
Iron is probably your best bet. Shouldn't take very long at all to get from 41 to 50. Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P. So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...
Dusk Souls
Why Ardouge specifically? It seems to me that the ability to sell the ores is better than just dropping them.
Hedgehog
Just drop them. It's much faster.
Dusk Souls
Hmmm, well I loathe to loose the possibility of making a profit; but it seems to be the best option, I will try it
Wessan
The Ardounge mine is close enough to bank if you really want the profit, especially considering you are going from 41 to 50. It wont make that much of a difference.
shookabow
If you want to bank the ores for profit, you can use the F2P Dwarven mines. There are 3 Iron rocks very close to a bank. You need a Dungeoneering level of I think 15? to get access to the bank but it's only a few steps away. I don't know how crowded the spot will be on a P2P world. Dusk Souls
I'll try Ardougne, and while I know my profit will be minimal, when you have less than 20K on your bank, every little GP counts Edit: Sorry for the double post browser acted weird Edited July 20, 2011 by DuskEclipse

You can also use an Arougne cloak to teleport to the monastry there and mine iron, banking with glories (since they are free). Dusk Souls
I have 4 summoning and I haven't done the Ardougne task (or any other complete set for that matter) and I am sure I won't be able to enter the dwarven mine resource dungeon as I am only level 5 in dungeoneering. So thanks in any case, I'll take that into account when I get the required levels.
Saradomin_Mage
I went to check your A-Log, so I can get a rough picture of the kind of stuff you can do. As mentioned above, your best bet is probably to just get this XP as fast as possible, forgoing whatever small profit you might make. You should just use the Piscartoris or Ardounge East iron method and just get this level out of the way. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers. Dusk Souls
Yeah, I did a quick check in the Dorgenshuun mines, trying to get a feel of how much I could make, and it is too slow for a measly 360 GP per inventory
