Scroll of Life glitch?

So, I bought the scroll of life a week ago, and the message popped up in chat box, showed on alog, etc.

But in the 120 or so herb seeds ive done since then.. I've NEVER gotten a seed back. Ever.

Am I missing something or what?

 

EDIT: does a message pop up in chat box when you get a seed back?

It is random. Sometimes you will get it in the next patch; sometimes never. Just wait longer. :)

what are the chances of not getting one in 120 seeds though... i mean cmon

I've had it happen for about that long. Once went 80 patches without a seed back. Then, a few patches later, I got a Snap seed back.

I thought herbs only gave seeds back when they died and even then its not 100% guranteed

The scroll returns seeds from dead and alive patches. For dead patches, the seed you get is random.

i actually felt the same way when i go it, i went a few patches dry, but now i realize that it is really hard to miss because no message pops up or anything.

idk bout you but for my log of 90 torstols planted (i've planted way more but only kept a log of 90 so far)

and i can only say it is about the 10% that it states that you get back from live herbs

 

in the 90 i've done, i've gotten 8 seeds back

 

BUT 4 of those seeds are literally 8 seeds apart from each other so all i can say is stick it out and remember it is all *random*
