Gilson
So, I've got TzHaar as my Slayer task from Kuradal. I accepted the special thing, and figured, hey, I want a fire cape. Lookin' for advice on how to do it with my stats, and they are as follows: 90 Attack85 Strength80 Defence77 Ranged71 Prayer (with Curses)75 Mage60 Herblore (no Extremes)61? Dungeoneering (so no Chaotic). Probably have a budget of about 16m. Looking for any and all advice that y'all will give me. Thanks in advance, Gilson. Otherwise, range. If ranging, get 80 ranged. After that, bring 8 Brews, 4 Super Restores, Whip, D Defender (both for level 90s), 3 Ranging Potions, and the rest P Pots. Sip one Ranging Potion and Defense Potion/Brew before entering. Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous. Gilson
Honestly, I'm not all that confident. I mean, it's my first time going for it, and since it's my task, I really, REALLY want to actually pull it off.
Mini_Spawn
Every time I've done the fight caves I've done it ranging. Either use karils x bow, crystal bow, or rune cross bow with broad bolts. Your gear should be ranged armor. You dont have access to stat boosting prayers on curses so I'd use normal prayers. A melee weapon or a set of guthans may help you get to the end faster- as well as allowing you to bring more super restores and less brews. A special attack weapon such as a saradomin godsword or EE will also be of use to you. If you have access to void it also is effective for a melee/range hybrid. (using melee on the weaker monsters and ranged on the monsters you don't want to be in melee range of) Here's a link to a guide that is old but still relevant for you. It doesn't include pro gear/turmoil/overloads. http://forum.tip.it/topic/72654-the-fight-caves/
Hugger_88
Similar-ish stats to me. I only know the good welfare set-up so, go with black dhide, snakeskin boots, fury amulet, archers ring/zerker ring, barrows gloves/regen brace/merc gloves, rune c'bow, accumulator, blessed spirit shield or zamorak prayer book, FULL slayer helm and broad bolts (1.5k-3k) for the main waves and then diamond (e) (1k) for jad. Can swap the rune c'bow and bolts for karils c/bow and 3-5k racks. Or if you're filthy rich, buy 75 prayer, get a divine, ccb, accumulator, full pernix, fury am, dboots, merc gloves.. You know. that guud stuff :P But seriously, inventory set-up should consist of something like: 6 Saradomin brews, 3 ranging potions, 16 super restores, spare bolts, dds (to kill the ranging level 90's, low HP but hit hard.), and some purple sweets just incase. Not the best advice, but thats literally the same thing I did and I came out with the cape. I believe super restores restore more prayer than a prayer pot so those should be used instead of a prayer potion.

Plus if you're gonna spend all that on ppots, you might as well do super restores because you have one go at it. On gear, the 16M should be exploited and used for better gear, but for inventory, all but 3 Restores with P Pots isn't a bad idea at all. In short, only spend the $ on gear, not an expensive inventory. Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. rangers5000
Super restore potion is really cheap currently compared to b4 if deciding to range remember to use full slayer helm. Assuming u got fury use the 16m to buy arma pl8 or chainskirt and then borrow the other arma piece. Blessed shield would prob be good there

Gilson
Made it to him, had plenty of supplies... But, sadly, having it being my first time, and with him spawning off-screen, I couldn't predict his attacks and he killed me. Thanks for the help guys, and hopefully I'll get it next time. The fact of the matter is that restores are both worse at restoring prayer than ppots and more expensive.
